10 Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.11

“Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.12 “Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

We are called to Incarnational Living

The tension of the Christian faith is that we are to be like Jesus, while remaining true to God’s design in us.

We are unique

We are divinely designed

We live in tension in three spaces

Our True Self—Who Jesus says we are.

Our Public Self—Whom we belief and think we are.

Our Sinful Self—Whom Satan says we are.

The call is to live as Jesus calls us to live, which creates a great deal of difficulty in our lives.

Living Incarnationally

We embrace our pain and embrace it as it pushes us to Jesus to give us all we need to live for Him.

We avoid anything that masks whom Jesus says we are:

Evasion—We seek to be who we are everywhere regardless of the situation.

Pervading—We spread the right message the right way, not the wrong way.

Masquerading—We do not pretend to be something that we are not.

Lemonade—We do not take away the tartness of the Gospel to make it palatable.

Invade—We live out our lives in a wise manner, so as to encourage, lift up, and honor God and others.

Living it Out: Steps to Share My Faith as a Man of God

Be masculine.

Be vulnerable.

Be a leader in the whole sense.

Lead yourself.

Lead your family.

Lead those God gives you to lead.

Put God as the first and foremost object of worship.

Remember that Jesus gives us strength and comfort to live for Him (Matthew 28:16-20).
