God on Campus: Sacred Causes Global Effects 2: How Students Shape History

one area of life in which they clearly excelled was embracing the present as the essential moment that mattered most.

Key: God meet us in the present moment. Act on what you believe. Do it in this present moment.

Eph. 5:15-18

How you live your life matters (Eph. 5:15)

Ephesians 5:15 ESV
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,
Several lies:
Non-Chalant lie: “The way I live doesn’t really matter.”
Depressed lie: “My life is worthless.”
Existential lie: “My existance has no real meaning, so I must make up my meaning from within.”
Discouraged lie: “My life won’t really count towards much.”
Self-Centered lie: “My life is all about my happiness, so I’ll just do what I want.”

Make the best use of your time, starting now. (Eph. 5:16)

Ephesians 5:16 ESV
making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.

Aggressively seek increased understanding in what the will of the Lord is. (Eph. 5:17)

Ephesians 5:17 ESV
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Don’t do things that waste your life. (Eph. 5:18a)

Ephesians 5:18 (ESV)
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery...

Be filled with the Spirit. (Eph. 5:18b)

Ephesians 5:18 (ESV)
... but be filled with the Spirit,

Start now

God on Campus: Sacred Causes Global Effects 2: How Students Shape History
