Satan Plans To Make Us Believe He Is Unstoppable • He Does That Is Through Accusations, Deceptions, And Temptations RESISTING SATAN Things We Need To Understand About Satan • Satan Is God Of This World. • As Believers, Satan Is No Longer Our Ruler -- Christ Is • Satan Tries To Deceive Us Into Believing We Still Belong To Him, Or Are Under His Control RESISTING SATAN Satan Is Only As Effective Against Believers As They Give Into To His Lies, Schemes, And Deceptions • Satan Hates Everything That God Loves and Establishes • God Loves People & Wants To Redeem Them • Satan Hates People & Wants To Ruin Them RESISTING SATAN Satan Is Someone We All Must Face. • Satan Is An Adversary To All Of God’s People • He Tries To Blind Us Of The Authority We Have in Christ • (2 Cor 11:14 NIV) And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. • He Is Described As A Masquerader • The "Father Of Lies" • The "Deceiver Of Brethren" RESISTING SATAN I. THE AUTHORITY • I Give You Power To Tread On The Enemy --(Luke 10:17-20) • Jesus Can Give Us Authority Because He Has Authority To Give RESISTING SATAN • AUTHORITY= The Greek Word Is ‘exousia’, • IT CARRIES THE MEANING OF: privilege, force, capacity, competency, freedom, mastery magistrate, superhuman, delegated influence:-jurisdiction, liberty, power, right, strength. • Authority Is Delegated Power I.E. Traffic Cop RESISTING SATAN II. THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE AUTHORITY • Read: Ephesians 1:18-23 • The effectiveness of Our Authority has to do with the Power it represents • Power = ‘Dunamis’ -- It Means Dynamite RESISTING SATAN III. QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO EXERCISE AUTHORITY 1. Knowledge Of Our Position In Christ 2. Belief – Faith – Trust 3. Humility 4. Boldness 5. Awareness RESISTING SATAN IV. PRINCIPLES FOR DEFEATING SATAN 1. Speak Out Loud. 2. Speak "In The Name Of The Lord, Jesus, Christ And His Shed Blood On The Cross 3. Outside Of Exercising Authority There Is Nothing Else That Has To Be Done 4. Be Patient -- Satan Will Be Defeated RESISTING SATAN V. THE UNPROTECTED AREA: • We Are Totally Protected Except For One Area --Our Back • Never Turn Your Back On The Devil • We Must Watch The Backs Of One Another • Let Us Make Up Our Minds To Stand Together --To Protect One Another’s Back --And Not To Wound One Another
