January 29, 2023 Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit  READ: Acts 3:1-11  (Acts 3:1-6 NIV) One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer--at three in the afternoon. (2) Now a man crippled from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. (3) When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. (4) Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, "Look at us!" (5) So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. (6) Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk What will they think of next? Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit The Situation Of The Spiritually Paralyzed  Powerless To Worship  Powerless To Serve  Powerless To Live For Christ Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit  Acts 3:2 (NIV) "Now a man crippled from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts.“ Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit How The Powerful Become Powerless:  This Man Was Born Crippled  We Are All Born Spiritually Crippled  We Are All Are Born Into Sin Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit  Mankind Becomes A Captive Of: S-i-n  Sin Wants To Rule And Reign In Your Life  To Leave You Powerless And Ineffective  Rom 6:16 (NIV) "Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey--whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?“  The paralysis of sin will make the powerful -- Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit Unable To Walk He Had To Be Carried  Prov 5:22 (NIV) "The evil deeds of a wicked man ensnare him; the cords of his sin hold him fast.“  If You Find Yourself Saying:  I Just Can't Go On  I Just Can't Worship  I Just Can't Give  I Can't Live This Life  You Need Someone To Carry You Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit Jesus Will Carry You:  He's The Intercessor  He's The Way, The Truth, The Life  When Burdens Are Heavy --Jesus Will Carry Them & He Will Carry You Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit They Sat Him Down Just Outside Of The Temple  Just Outside Of The Place That He Really Needed To Be Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit The Temple Represents:  The Place Of The Presence Of God  The Place Of Fellowship  The Place Of Spiritual Food  The Place Of Strengthening  The Place Of Being With Other Believers  This Man Found Himself Right Outside Of The Gate Of The Temple -- So Close … But Yet… So Far ! Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit  When You Feel  Powerless -- Ineffective -- Inhibited -- Apathetic  That Is When You Need The Presence Of God The Most! Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit That’s The Time To:  Get Down On Your Knees  Get Into The Word  Continue Offering A Sacrifice Of Praise  Be Praying in the Holy Spirit  Be Fellowshipping In Your Church  That Is The Time When You Need The Presence Of God Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit  God Wants You To Be Set Free From Paralysis Of Your Spirit  You Can Only Be Set Free --- In And Through The Presence Of God  He Alone Can Cut The Cords Of Bondage That Hold You Captive  Don't Stop On The Threshold Of God's Presence --You Need A Fresh Encounter With The Presence Of Almighty God Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit He Asked For What He Thought He Needed: Money  (Acts 3:2-3 NIV) "Now a man crippled from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts." (3) "When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money." Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit  Many People Ask For The Wrong Things  Things That Don’t Meet The Need  Things That Don't Last Long  If You Had All Of The Money In The World, And You Were Paralyzed, Would That Money Help You To Walk Again? No  Many Who are Spiritually Paralyzed Look For The Wrong Things Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit  Acts 3:6 (NIV) "Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk."“  You Don't Have To Be Paralyzed Any Longer  You Don't Have To Be Powerless & Ineffective  There Is Hope / Healing / Cleansing / Rekindling  The Power Of The Lord Is For You Finding The Joyful Release Of The Spirit  If You Will Grab Onto The Hand Of The Lord  Jesus Will Set You Free  In The Name Of Jesus Rise Up And Walk Four Responses To This Message: 1. If You Are Paralyzed You Need To Realize The Truth  Sin Wants To Master You -- But You Through The Power Of Jesus Christ Must Master It  Anything That Is Paralyzing You In Your Spirit --Consuming You -- Draining You -Needs To Go Four Responses To This Message: 2. If You Are Unable To Walk You Need Someone To Carry You  Jesus Will Carry You -- No Matter Where You Are At -- Or What You Are Going Through  If You Can't Go Any Further Call Out To Jesus -- He Will Carry You Four Responses To This Message: 3. If You Are Located Just Outside Of The Gates You Need To Determine In Your Spirit To Enter The Gates  Healing , Freeing, Life , Joy, Peace Are Found In The Presence Of The Lord Four Responses To This Message:  There Has To Be A Commitment & Decision To Stay In His Presence Until You Have A Breakthrough  It Will Happen For Sure When You Get To The Place Where The Presence Of God Is The Most Important Thing In Your Life Four Responses To This Message: 4. Start Asking For The Right Things  The Thing That You Need The Most Jesus -- Is  You Need The Presence Of The Almighty
