Hebrews 1:3 NIV84
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
Not just death, but a death that draws men upward toward him as he ascends, a vision of elevation and joining with him in his rise to divine status once again, to regnal space.
Hebrews 1:3; exact reproduction,
just like God, his precise essence, sustaining all things by his word (like God does) as the creation suggests. Jesus is better than other divine beings, he has a better name. He has “inherited” only sons inherit, only family inherits.
God has always spoken to us, OT prophets, men, who received revelation from God himself.
He has not spoken by a Son...not a man, not a prophet, not a vessel, but an actual Word himself. The Man is the Word. This man is the heir of all things, and the one through whom God created the cosmos.
Cleaning House
He came and purified the entire cosmos, Gods temple of the universe and the earth if you will. Once it was purified, he did not ‘stay here’ like a normal priest would have done, but he “went back” to the throne room from whence he came.
1: God was not content with messengers, he CAME in person. He wanted to see it, to live it, to have friends, breathe earthly air, feel warm sun on his face, eat the food he had created for us.
2: Physical bodies are amazing and divine things that God has made. They are not vessels of temptation, but rather they are vessels for divinity. God wants to pour his divinity into us, into our vessels. (like liquid) If I am a vessel, then the pouring image makes a lot of sense. It flows over us.
Verse 5: He never called an angel “son whom I have begotten” genneo, to be a parent to someone.
Jesus Built God’s House
The He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his father, and he will be my son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with the rod of men, with floggings inflicted by men. But my love will never be taken away from him, as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from before you. Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me; your throne will be established forever.’ ”
2 Sam 7:14; and says the “house for my name” will be built
Psalm 97:7 Jesus is to be worshipped, other divine beings will worship this one....he is not like them, he is above them, more powerful than them
ETERNAL HOUSE:

25 In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth,

and the heavens are the work of your hands.

26 They will perish, but you remain;

they will all wear out like a garment.

Like clothing you will change them

and they will be discarded.

27 But you remain the same,

and your years will never end.

28 The children of your servants will live in your presence;

their descendants will be established before you.”

Jesus indestructible nature. Unchanging, Sameness, imperishable...immutable, (no mutating).
What was the purpose of God putting Jesus in this ‘lower’ potion; Empathy;
he went below, conquered the world below, showed us that it can be done, now he can rule it.
This is Gods plan for us, to do it, to beat the world by being both human and divine. He is our brother, of the same family. The same species, if you will. His accomplishment is an inspiration TO US. If we do as he did, live as he lived, strive for him....we can overcome and we will also rule with him. (2 Tim 2:11-12)
King of the House
Heb 1:8 quotes Psalm 45:6 He has a throne, he is God and he has a scepter (a rod that kings hold to symbolize power, reach, striking at foes and such...) it is royal imagery.
He has an eternal throne, he will rule forever, he never dies. he is always there to love and provide for us.
Now Comes Psalm 102:25, 26
Psalm 102:26 NIV84
They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded.
Isaiah 51:6 NIV84
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. But my salvation will last forever, my righteousness will never fail.
The Family House
Hebrews 2:9–11 NIV84
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.
