INTRODUCTION:
When faced with seemingly impossible situations, Jesus never gave up, Jesus never gave in to the devil, and Jesus never threw in the towel, because Jesus was not a quitter.

S-4> This morning’s message is entitled, “Jesus Would Refuse To Quit.”
S-5> No matter what the devil threw at Jesus, Jesus was determined to continue, and Jesus was determined to be a success for the glory of His Father.
When the going gets tough, then the tough get going.
When the going gets tough, then God’s people shine bright for His glory.
S-6> If the devil is trying to persuade you that living for God is a mistake, prove the devil wrong.
If the devil is trying to overwhelm your life with problems and situations so that it looks like there is no way out, except to give up, do what Jesus did, refuse to quit.

Who wants to go to the desert for a vacation?
Jesus does, if that is what His Father’s desires.

The Spirit of God was leading Jesus, so Jesus would be stronger spiritually, and so all of the Word of God would be fulfilled completely.

Living for God is not like playing a game of chess, the winner is not determined by who makes the biggest mistake and who makes the better move.
Living for God is going where the Father directs and doing what the Father says, even when you don’t feel like doing it.

Many a Christian has trouble when the devil attacks because they try to reason out the situation and give an answer from their head, instead of God’s Word.

Sometimes we just want to tell the devil to leave us alone, and what we need to be telling the devil is the Word of God.
The Word of God is powerful.

Don’t stand on what you think.
Don’t stand on what you have seen God do for other Christians, stand on the Word of God.
How many times have I heard someone say, “God if you will do this or that for me, then I will serve you.”
Or, “God if when you do such and such for me, then I will know that you have answered my prayer.”
It’s one thing to pray, but it is another thing to receive God’s answer to your prayer.
Don’t hold your life hostage against God because He’s not doing things the way you think He should.
Just serve the Lord and thank God for His perfect answer to your prayer.
