Here again are the seals which we have seen Jesus break open

SCROLL OF SEVEN SEALS
1st Seal - White Horse (Antichrist)
2nd Seal - Red Horse (no peace / war)
3rd Seal - Black Horse (famine)
4th Seal - Pale Green (death - 1/4th of the earth))
5th Seal - Martyred Souls under Altar (tribulation)
6th Seal - Great Earthquake (kings and rulers hide)

After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree.
Keep in mind we had the 6th seal broken
We have souls of martyrs under the altar
great earthquake and kings, rulers and generals hiding

and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;
for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”
Crying out for the mountains and rocks to fall upon them
That last part of that verse here in chapter 6 : 16-17 very important
Explain
Look back at Revelation 7:1 again

After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree.
We see these four angels and want to know who they are and why the winds and why holding them back
From Scripture we will see could be be the first 4 Horsemen
No one has told them to go away or stop in chapter 6
Could be the first four angels with trumpets in chapter 8 bringing more destruction upon the earth
We see here in 7:1 they are standing at the four corners holding back the 4 winds
I looked up the definition of 4
Now the Greek for corners is angles (4 points of North South East and West)
Zechariah gives prophecy for these times in Revelation
Zechariah asked the Lord who these horsemen were

The angel replied to me, “These are the four spirits of heaven, going forth after standing before the Lord of all the earth,
with one of which the black horses are going forth to the north country; and the white ones go forth after them, while the dappled ones go forth to the south country.
Now spirits here - is ruach
In Rev 7:1 the four winds we saw - wind is ruach which means breath
Holy Spirit has same word in it except another is added to bring about none but one Holy Spirit - Ruach Hacodesh
Lets see more in Zechariah about these horsemen and see if it lines up with Rev 6 and 7 so far

“When the strong ones went out, they were eager to go to patrol the earth.” And He said, “Go, patrol the earth.” So they patrolled the earth.
Then He cried out to me and spoke to me saying, “See, those who are going to the land of the north have appeased My wrath in the land of the north.”
Wonderful to be able to go to the books of the Bible and bring in more insight
Daniel saw these four winds in his prophetic vision also
Lets look at his vision

In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel saw a dream and visions in his mind as he lay on his bed; then he wrote the dream down and related the following summary of it.
Daniel said, “I was looking in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the great sea.
“And four great beasts were coming up from the sea, different from one another.

And I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God; and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea,

saying, “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees until we have sealed the bond-servants of our God on their foreheads.”
We see here a different angel saying do not harm earth see and trees
This angel has a seal of the living God
The other angels did not
We see these bond servants are sealed on their foreheads
Lets see who these are in 7:4

And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel:
We in Christ Jesus are sealed with the Holy Spirit
The day we received Christ He sealed us with His own Spirit in us to identify us as His own
Next week we will see more about these of the tribes of Israel being sealed on their foreheads
And who more that will be saved in these last moments
