Sermon series goal:
To help the saints understand the doctrine of Providence definitionally, Scripturally, confessionally, and experientially
Aspects of Providence:
The foundation of this doctrine is the doctrine of God’s decree, which is in turn founded upon the doctrine of God.
Therefore, this series will touch on relevant aspects of God’s perfections and decree
Providence has a goal: the accomplishment of God’s decree through God’s covenant through God’s Son.
Therefore, this series will expound the relation of Providence to the two central historical events of redemption: the Person and Work of Jesus Christ, and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ
Providence has immediate bearing on all of God’s creatures, but particularly on humanity; even more particularly, on believers and unbelievers.
Therefore, this series will expound God’s varied dispensations toward believers and unbelievers
Therefore, this series will expound the varied reasons for God’s Providence in the lives of unbelievers and believers
