God’s Word - his means to reveal his rest
God’s rest is equal to saying God’s reign (as king). The 7th day, where God rested, never ended. Adam and Eve lived in God’s rest until the Fall. Work still existed here (Adam is caring for the garden). However, it was rest. It is impossible to enter into God’s rest - his eternal reign - apart from faith. When the author says we will rest from our works,
