Effectual Prayer pt. 4
Effectual Prayer pt. 4
16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Confess and acknowledge how you have offended one another and then pray for one another to be instantly healed, for tremendous power is released through the passionate, heartfelt prayer of a godly believer!
Revelation on Fasting:
Lord reveal
3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Many times we’re focused on the outcome instead of the tools that it takes to get there
We have problem that we want God to fix
When he’s equipping us in our spirit to fix it
Every fast that I have done God has given me keys to grow myself
Equipped me to handle the situation better
Or brought people in my life to show me how to do things better
Don’t ask how long it will take, ask how deep you can go.
Before we get into the message:
Two thing God put on my heart for this morning
14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
1. You were born for such as a time as this
It was a question
Esther was an orphan, abandoned by her parents
Looked after by her cousin
God didn’t bring you this far to leave you
2. There’s faith in release
Don’t hold onto the worry
I’m not saying to pray about it and take it to God
But you can’t let it enter into the realm of fear
Let Go of it
1. He recognized a need
2. Nehemiah was a play maker for God’s people
3. He Prays and Reminds God of His promises
4. Send me into the problem
5. He gathered a team
6. Remodeling/Rebuilding doesn’t happen over night
It takes destruction before beauty is recognized
24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.
Our flesh must die to produce the spirit in our lives
7. People will want to attack or diminish your progress
8 and all of them conspired together to come and attack Jerusalem and create confusion. 9 Nevertheless we made our prayer to our God, and because of them we set a watch against them day and night.
8. You gotta remember what you’re fighting for
14 And they found written in the Law, which the Lord had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths during the feast of the seventh month,
9. If you build God’s kingdom- the people will be restored
4 Now the city was large and spacious, but the people in it were few, and the houses were not rebuilt. 5 Then my God put it into my heart to gather the nobles, the rulers, and the people, that they might be registered by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of those who had come up in the first return, and found written in it:
50K people came home
10. People can help you but no one can replace you
10 So Joshua did as Moses said to him, and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. 11 And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. 12 But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
We have to be playmakers
Like Esther, Daniel, Moses, Nehemiah
You have greatness attached to your life
We have to choose to be playmakers
What are you going to pick up and run with for this year
What are you laying down and not picking back up after this fast?
What is he doing in your life
