To know true love, we must know God
BEGINNING:
We live in a world that has distorted what love is - because the devil wants to distort how we see God.
We do not have the right or freedom to redefine something God has already defined.
If you want to know what love is, you need a relationship with God
This month, we must begin with the love of God because He loved us and defined what love is for us.
It is an attribute of who He is.
Everything we love, is either in line with His love, or it is not truly love.
God loved us so much, He sent His Son to save us from the condemnation we are already in.
That love allows us to then love each other. 1 John 4: 7 says we are to love each other.
If you are a Christian, if you have given your life to Jesus, you are commanded to love your brothers and sisters in the family of God.
While Jesus was meeting with the disciples in the upper room, just before He was arrested in the garden, He commanded them to love each other.
This command is for you and me also.
The world will know that you belong to Jesus - if you love your brothers and sisters in Christ
Sometimes loving Christians is the hardest thing we can do, because we expect Christians to behave a certain way, and we expect each other to be the embodiment of Jesus.
But the fact is, Christians (if they are real), are in a constant state of growth.
Sometimes we look more like Jesus, other times we let our sinful nature take over.
We need to have grace for each other, and forgive each other.
Love God - Ama a Dios
Love your Brothers and Sisters - Ama a tus hermanos
Love Others - Amar a los demás
