Revelation 14:12 KJV 1900
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Revelation 12:17 KJV 1900
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Remnant. Gr. loipoi, “remaining ones,” from leipō, “to leave,” “to leave behind.” See Additional Note at end of chapter.

What happened with the rest?
Whoever is left, it has the characteristics of keeping the commandments and having the testimony of Jesus (aka SOP Rev. 19:10)
This is the beginning of the journey of this group, led by the SOP
Revelation 14:12 KJV 1900
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
This is the final product of this group
New elements to consider in this verse
Patience is already obtained
Patience as part of the process

Patience. Gr. hupomonē. “Patience” may suggest only passive resistance to evil, the calm submission of a soul that resigns itself to suffering. Hupomonē means more than this. It signifies also an active virtue, a courageous perseverance and persistence that cannot be shaken by fear of evil or danger. A better translation would be “fortitude,” or “endurance.”

Why is patience part of the process?
John 15:18–19 KJV 1900
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
There is an antagonistic spirit when we choose to live for Christ.
True Christianity has never been popular
John 16:33 KJV 1900
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Tribulation is assured as peace is.

THE MOST FORGOTTEN PART OF VICTORY (THE TRAINING)

Only those who carry the cross in this world will get the crown.
Whatever that comes easy is usually not valued as it should.
SUCCESS IS DESIRED BY MEN

Everyone wants to be successful, until they see what it actually takes. Here are 10 questions to ask yourself: 1. Are you disciplined? 2. Do you take rejection personally? What about criticism? 3. Do you bounce back quickly from making errors or failing over and over again? 4. Are you a planner or do you do things by the seat of your pants? 5. Are you prepared to take risks? Moderate or Big? 6. Do you stay focused on one thing and one thing only until the result you want is achieved? 7. Do you have the stamina to keep going long after everyone else is tired? 8. Can you delegate well, or are you the only one who can do things right? 9. Do you wait for things to happen or do you aggressively go after what you want? 10. Do you do whatever it takes to achieve your goals or just what’s convenient? These questions are critical for you to ask yourself in order to get a true picture of your nature and behavior. What I have found is that successful people are aware of the consequences of not being efficient in these areas, and find other ways, resources or people to manage for them.

Is Part of the Process

Galatians 6:9 KJV 1900
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Weariness is part of the process (it is coming)
then a conditional part comes (this is when we make the decision which will determine the result) “faint”
“When you do well, weariness will try to come, but if you don’t faint, you will reap in due time.”
Psalm 126:6 KJV 1900
He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
Carrying the precious gospel can be painful at times
People can reject you, miss-understand you.
But the reaping is assured and comes with rejoicing.

Application to our Church

When we hear testimonies, we usually hear the reaping part, because it encourages and motivates the members.
Testimonies are design to show that it is possible.
But many times people don’t share how much they had to endure in order to get there.
Story about the lady that I knocked after three days that her husband left her for another woman.
Endurance is part of the process.
As soldiers of the gospel we need to learn to expect that to come because we don’t fight against flesh and blood.
Opportunity for endurance come:
Knocking on doors
We invite and people don’t come
We even leave food, people don’t come
Bible Studies
People sign up for BS and they never show up
You study with people and on the last lessons, they decide to not continue
Canvassers for 39 contacts in Williamston, but maybe one ended up in Bible Studies.
Because of these experiences, we try a couple times and we thing that is either not for us or it doesn’t work.
Maybe evangelism doesn’t work??

The 40% rule is simple: When your mind is telling you that you’re done, that you’re exhausted, that you cannot possibly go any further,  you’re only actually 40% done.
2 Timothy 2:10 KJV 1900
Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
Part of endurance is for the sake of others
How does it work?
Hebrews 12:2 KJV 1900
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Jesus endured
1 Corinthians 13:7 NKJV
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
It is the result of love!
“Our reward is not dependent upon our seeming success, but upon the spirit in which our work is done.” —Manuscript 20, 1905. CM 114.2
Endurance or patience will always come as a result of Love. True love for souls will allow us endure anything because we love.
Love is not a concept. Is a person
1 John 4:8 KJV 1900
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
“Only by love is love awakened. To know God is to love Him.” DA 22.1

"Depend wholly on the power of the Spirit. Keep your sword the right side up, the edge to the heart, and your arm well nerved. Bring home the blow with an intent to kill. Be not afraid of hurting your hearers, wind no silk handkerchiefs around your blade, nor withhold one moiety of power when you make a thrust. Some are in the habit of hiding a part of the sword, for fear the enemy will dodge the blow; but this will never do. The moment your enemy discovers your cowardice or fear, they despise you. They rouse to action with redoubled vigor and ten to one if you are not overthrown. Never show any discouragement, or unbelief in the strength or power of your Commander. Let His name be your watchword, His armor your shield, and His cause your field. If the enemy roar and make a noise, take courage, double your diligence; it is a certain sign that your blows are telling home."
The Midnight Cry, Francis D. Nicol, 1945, p.84
