Text: Romans 3:21-26

Intro: I belong to an exclusive club – Sam’s club- benefits- Not everyone can enter in, only those with membership cards. But membership is open to anybody but you can only get in y becoming a member and pay $40.00.

I belong to another exclusive group, I’ve been restored to the family of God and while anyone can be restored to the family of God only those who come by faith in Christ Jesus will be restored.

CPS: There is a universal problem which mankind has no solution for it is sin, but our loving father in heaven has provided the cure and it is the atoning blood of Jesus which can be received by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ Jesus alone. There is no other solution.

Why we Sin?

We are sinners by nature!

Behold I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Psalm 51:5

We are sinners by choice!

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped the creature more than the Creator, Who is blessed forever. Amen. Romans 1:25

What is the extent of our sin? – Total Depravity- sin has effected every part of us.

Sin brings the wrath of God as the appropriate response to our sin!

Dr. G Campbell Morgan was trying to explain “free salvation” to a coal minner, but the man was unable to understand it. “I have to pay for it” he kept arguing.
