Is God with You?

As God prepares you for the plan he has for you, God will be with us.

I. He makes us servants (v1-4)

The servant puts his mater’s desires above his own.

The servant looses himself in the master’s plan for him.

Be content with your area of service (1 Cor 12:17-18)

Don’t try and be like someone else, just serve where God has you.

God made you to fulfill your role in the body, not someone else’s.

**As we serve God in that area, he will be with us

II. God will be with us (v2)

(Mat 28:20) He is with us positionally, but he also calls us to respond to that reality.

To whom is God near?

1. Those who draw near to him (James 4:8)

2. The righteous (Psalm 34:15-17)

He put God first (v9)

He walked in integrity.

He did what was right.

3. The broken hearted and afflicted (Psalm 34:18-19)

III. As we walk with God, he will cause our way to prosper (v2-3)

Prosperity is not the absence of difficulty

Joseph’s prosperity came in the midst of slavery.

IV. As we walk with God and draw near to Him, He gives of areas of responsibility (v20-23).

God was preparing him to be 2nd in all of Egypt

Be faithful in what God has called you to now

Are you content with the role in the body God has for you? Serve there.

Are you responding to God’s call to nearness?

God Promises to makes your way prosperous as you walk with him.

God made you for a purpose and a task, these are things God is calling us to if we are to be successful in his plan for us.
