Just Do It
Just have faith in Gods plan and do it
I dont know about you but sometimes thats exactly how I feel right there
You want to know Why
Because of my disobedience and because of Gods faithfulness
Lets look at a popular scripture then talk about the context
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
He has plans for Me Plans of peace to give me a future and a hope oh well praise the Lord blessed is He Ill just hang that on my wall Ill go right ahead and declare that for myself and my family put it on a tshirt and a mug
Praise the Lord He has plans for me to prosper me to give me a future

Oh wait there is some context to this scripture
The letter was sent by the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent to Babylon, to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, saying, Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, to all who were carried away captive, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem to Babylon: Build houses and dwell in them; plant gardens and eat their fruit. Take wives and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons and give your daughters to husbands, so that they may bear sons and daughters—that you may be increased there, and not diminished. And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace. For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are in your midst deceive you, nor listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed. For they prophesy falsely to you in My name; I have not sent them, says the Lord. For thus says the Lord: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.
Oh wait..... I thought..... these were plans to give me a better life now......
wait a minute i never heard such things .....
you see the promise was to the people of isreal not the person. Becasue God keeps His promise He made a promise to Abraham and He would keep it. Though isreal was rebellios crazy sinful wicked and even had turned agasist God He would keep His promise
Sometimes we go through these hard times in life because of our disobediance
lets look at that picture again

What is faith
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Now Romans 8 28
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
So all things work together for the good
Where does faith come in
Trusting in the all things
remember paul tells us in romans
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “But the righteous man shall live by faith.”
1. We are to live by faith trusting in God not our hearts
Now sometimes its what side of the roller coaster do you want to be on the upward climb hopeing cherrishing living loving holding on being obsevant obediant kind caring loving giving ,
Or do we want to be on the down hill of the coaster
Gods plan will succeed either way
This is why John told us the key to joy in this life is obediance
Living a godly life one that loves him and others more than your self
Now if we follow the worlds advis=ce we will follow our hearts
This is terrible advice
Scipture warns us about this
He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, But he who walks wisely will be delivered.
“The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?
“For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders.
So we cannot trust oour own hearts what are we to do
Listen, my son, and be wise, And direct your heart in the way.
Direct your heart not to earthly things but to godly things remembers jesus said where your heart is there will be your treasure
We must intentionally redirect our heart
Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Call on God to create a clean heart a pure heart a heart of flesh that would replace your heart of stone, remember jesus said blessed are those who are pure in heart . Let us call on God to clean our hearts
Give me your heart, my son, And let your eyes delight in my ways.
Let us give our hearts completely this morning to the Lord letting no room for the flesh to remain may His presence be so felt that we are bursting in His Joy and love
2. Trust not in Men but in God
What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members? You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: “He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”? But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. Do not speak against one another, brethren. He who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law; but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge of it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you who judge your neighbor?
Do not trust in princes, In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in man.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!”
WE can keep doing it our way and it feels allot like this
Or we can press in to Him experience His presence Let His comfort take hold let it take over let it heal the brokenness
Letting us recieve his Joy in full becomming more obediant becasue we delight in His statutes we take refuge and Hide in Him fromt eh worrises of this world
Aw Tozer said this Trying to be happy without a sence of Gods presence is like trying to have a bright day with out the sun
WE must seek Him
Remember God is a faithful God he honors His promises whether we like it or not

But here is a promise you can take to the bank one you can cherish on your heart one you can cling to when troubles come print and put in your living room on a t shirt on a mug
He Gives Strength to the Weary
He Will give you rest
His love will never fail
If you call on Him He will answer

Seek Him and you will Find Him
Going back to Jeremiah
‘You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
Let us each take time and seek him will all of our hearts
Dont think about lunch
Family or your plans this afternoon
Right now let us seek Him that we may find Him that His presence will overflow our cup
