What is Valentines about....Love!
Every one of us want to be loved.
ill: as a young man looking for a wife...
We all want to be loved.
And you are loved!!
Song: Jesus Love Me.
Jesus loves you and he is looking for you!
I want to show you a story from the Bible that proves Jesus loves you and is looking for you.
Luke 19:1-10 “1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. 2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. 3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. 4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. 5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. 6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. 7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner. 8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. 9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
Title: “Jesus Loves Me”
(Prayer)

1. Jesus knows your name -vs. 5 (Love Starts with a Name)

“Names are the sweetest and most important sound in any language.”
Dale Carnegie, How to Win Friends and Influence People
Jesus knew Zacchaeus name.
He knows your name.
Jesus knows your name! wow!
In fact he knows everything about you!
A. Your Hair
Luke 12:7 “7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
B. Your Beginning
Jeremiah 1:5 “5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
C. My relationship with Him
Nahum 1:7 “7 The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; And he knoweth them that trust in him.” Romans 8:16-17 “16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” John 10:28 “28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”

2. Jesus knows your location -vs. 5 (He looked up because Jesus knew where he was)

Jesus knew where Zacchaus was!
ILL: Hide and Seek-Elaina found the best hiding place
I couldn’t find her
Jesus knows exactly where you are.
Adam and Eve in the Garden
Cain and Abel-he knew where Abel was
Jonah in the belly of a whale.
You cannot hide from God.
2 Chron 16:9 “9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.”
Don’t try to hide from God
You can’t hide your location.
You cannot hide your sin
And on the day of judgement ....
2 Cor. 5:10 “10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”

Zacchaeus had a past
1. publican -tax collector (vs. 1-2)
He had stolen from all lot of people
a jerk
2. CHIEF publican (vs. 1-2)
CHIEF of all the jerks
3. Rich (vs. 1-2)
Rich ppl are often despised..especially if they are rich because they take advantage of other ppl.
4. Sinner
We all have a past.
Quote: “Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future”
Romans 3:23 “23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
God knows all of you past! explain....

Jesus knows everything about you....your name, your strengths, your weakness, your sin.
Jesus knows you what you need to live more than we do!
ILL: Little Emma doesn’t know what she needs! But we do! We are motived by love!
Same with God and us.
And He still chose to love you.
How will you respond?
Look how Zacchaeus responded and let’s learn from that:
1. vs 6 He made haste (hurry)
Don’t wait another day
2 Sam 14:14 “14 For we must needs die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again...
2. vs 6 He came down (humble himself )
James 4:10 “10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”
