We Choose To Grow Together

Choice is a powerful thing. No one can force you to choose. You can be put in a situation where you have to make a choice, but you still have options.
Our 3rd code is “We Choose to grow together.” Choice means it is not based on feelings, but based on knowledge. Just because we don’t feel like being together and growing, doesn’t make being together bad. There are lots of things in life that are good for us but we don’t feel like doing them.
The next part is grow together. We choose to grow together because that is what Jesus has asked us to do.
1 Corinthians 12:27–28 NLT
All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it. Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the church: first are apostles, second are prophets, third are teachers, then those who do miracles, those who have the gift of healing, those who can help others, those who have the gift of leadership, those who speak in unknown languages.
One of the beautiful things about the church is that it functions as the human body. Our bodies grow together. If something grows faster or slower, it causes big problems. But when our body grows together it functions properly.
We are each part of the body and have specific skills, talents and abilities.
We were never meant to live the Christian life alone. The church was established for community.
