A passage for this morning
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.
Ecclesiastes 4:12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.
Let me demonstrate what these passages are saying
Break One
Break Two
Then try the whole stack
We are exposed and easily defeated by ourselves. But the more we gather together we are not so easily defeated!
This is whyGod values community and relationship!
Have you ever heard the word trinity? What is it?
See even in the Godhead there is community and relationship.
That is a design that God put within us, to not be alone but together!
Even Jesus taught that where two or three are gathered together he is in their midst.
Look around right now. Is Jesus here with us?
He is here in this community right now. Liberty Christian is a Christian community with Jesus in its midst!
What does community mean?
It is a compound word - Common Unity
Is it just being together?
Is it just a place to be together?
God values relationships! Church isn’t the place its the people.
What makes Liberty a school is not the building but the people! You the students, the teachers, Mr. Tuttle and the administrators!
Kids that is Liberty Christian!
He wants us to work together.
God has made us for one another and intends us to need each other.
God has always valued our interaction with one another.
Look at the history of Israel. Their greatest victories and achievements happened when the came together in community or as the Old Testament says, with one heart and one mind.
God wants us to band together and work with each other. To be like Israel and work and worship God together with one heart and one mind!
In your classes be a community that helps each and encourages each other. This is what God desires from the community of Liberty Christian!
Will you pray with me?
