Joseph seems to be a very important person in Genesis, however, it is possible to fail to notice the future God will give him and his descendants in further Bible prophecy. Joseph figures in the prophecies that foretell the reunion of Judah and the northern tribes in Christ's millennial kingdom. This is important to us as Christians because we will be ruling with Christ in this kingdom! God means to motivate us to look forward to Christ's future kingdom where we will receive rewards.
