Ephesians 3:1-13, The Unsearchable Riches of Christ.

Grace was given to Paul by God. God reached down and saved him. He was a lost, religious, zealous man. [Ephesians 3:8: Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ].

Paul was an enemy of the church. [Acts 8:3: As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison. Acts 9:1-2: And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem].

The riches of this world are only temporary. Unsearchable: impossible to imagine; untrackable. [Ephesians 3:8: Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ].

His riches are plentiful. In Christ, we possess inexhaustible treasures. [Romans 11:32: For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all].

What are these unsearchable riches?

The riches of His goodness: He sent Jesus to die for us. [Romans 2:4: Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?].

While we are here, we accomplish His purpose. We are His trophies on display for eternity. [Ephesians 2:4-5: But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved].

The riches of His glory: He purchased us by the precious blood of Jesus. We are going to have riches of His glory for eternity. [Ephesians 3:16: And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby. Romans 8:18: For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us].
