To Give God All The Praise
To Give God All The Praise
Here we are, 36 days into 2023 Is For Me and I guarantee you that many of us have missed moments to give God The Praise! Why? Because we are so caught up in the results, we missed the moment - Luke 19:41-44 “41 Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, 42 saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43 For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, 44 and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.””
God has provided for us - another opportunity to praise Him for The Wondrous Things that He has done! Yet, we miss the moment of visitation because we are so caught up in the momentary afflictions. . .
Regardless of the negatives that happened today, I know that God has created for me, and for you, New Mercy - New Day - So I will rejoice and be glad in it!
It could have been the other way!
But God says - Do not worry, Psalm 119:153-155 “153 Consider my affliction and deliver me, For I do not forget Your law. 154 Plead my cause and redeem me; Revive me according to Your word. 155 Salvation is far from the wicked, For they do not seek Your statutes.”
Our Father has provided The Promise that allows us to not forget His Command and keeps us in a place of perfected peace that surpasses all understanding!
Habakkuk 2:2-3 “2 Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.”
So why am I worried? When I know My Father, Who Art in Heaven, hallowed be His Holy and Righteous Name, Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be done, in Earth, as it is in Heaven. . .
Jesus asked a question, and I believe we miss the blessing of the question, in Matthew 6:27 “27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?”
I cannot even add 18 inches to my height by worrying
So if worrying cannot add, it must be subtracting, and/or, keeping me the same
Therefore, my thinking needs to change about my current?
I need to let that fade away, that which causes me to revert back, which is where the frustration enters in, because if it returns, remember, it will have more than it did before!
This is why we must remain steadfast in our relationship with Our Father!
Because when you allow your hope to become distant from what God has appointed you to, it is no longer yours, and now you are in fight mode because of the compounded stuff that has return!
We are not dogs, y’all - A dog returns to it’s own vomit - No, God has made us greater than - we have more value when you consider the beast and birds of the air and earth!
They neither so nor reap - in other Words, God has not given them an assigned destiny, because He does not live in them, He lives in you! Genesis 2:7 “7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”
We are living, whether or not you are living your best life - you can praise God for giving you a Blessed Life! Because you are seeking Him First, and all of His Commands, therefore, you are poised for the repayment to come on in! (That was what I was going to preach - but God had other plans)
Jesus made a statement, and because of our focus on the current, I believe we miss The Blessing - Matthew 6:34 “34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
Remember the old song “count your blessings and name them, one by one. . .”
We miss in this statement, really what Jesus Christ is saying here:
Instead of worrying about what you are encountering today, look at the blessings God has bestowed upon you, to remain faithful in the midst of the trouble - therefore (because of that) - Because I know what God has promised me - Because I know that all things are working together for my Good because God has called me for purposes in the earth and nothing will interrupt The Plan of the Lord!
So I rest in knowing the “Therefore - Because of that” Because of His Word, His Plan, that He thinks towards me - I will settle myself in His Comforting Peace - The Holy Spirit, He will guide me and keep me, because I was created for this!
Even when it seems insurmountable - I still have to make it happen - Because of that, which God has said; Psalm 1:3 “3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.”
And that which Jesus The Christ has shown; Matthew 28:18 “18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”
I may not have have it all right now, but Today - Right Now - Is Enough For Me to give Him All The Glory and All The Praise!
