A Life or Death Situation

Deut. 30:19-20

I. God calls us to choose between life or death.

A. Death is a continuation of the natural life we’ve had in this world.

1. Man is born in sin, lives in sin, and will die in sin.

2. To choose death is to remain embalmed with this world.

B. Life on the other hand, is that life found only in the Lord Jesus Christ.

“In him was life and the life was the light of men.” John 1:4

1. It is truly a new life because it begins with the death of the old man.

2. It is a new life because we are born again.

II. God requires action on our part when we choose life.

A. We must love God.

B. We must obey His voice.

C. We must cleave unto Him.
