I. ETERNITY PAST

Did you know that God has never been alone?
WHY? Because He is God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Before the world was ever made, before there was anything, there was God experiencing all of Himself within Himself for endless ages in eternity past.
The universe itself was birthed out of relationship.
All of Creation is an explosion of the loving relationship between the Tri-unity of God, with its center and heart being man, created in God’s very image - not just for the sake of being like God in intellect, emotions, and spirit - but for the sake of having the capacity to participate in the intimate union of Trinity that has always been and always will be.
II. THE GARDEN
God made us for the sole purpose of experiencing relationship with Him.
That’s why He placed us in the Garden. It wasn’t just a nice utopia filled with fruit trees and animals, it was the place of God’s presence.
The Bible says they used to walk with God in the Garden in the cool of the day…God made us to be with Him.
But when ADAM and EVE SINNED, that relationship was broken, because God is holy, and Light has no part with darkness (1 John 1). What Adam and Eve was kicked out of wasn’t the utopia, but the presence. Our relationship with God was broken.
III. THE CROSS (JESUS)
Let me ask you this: WHY DID JESUS DIE?
HE DIDN’T DIE FOR HELL INSURANCE.
HR DIED TO RECONCILE OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
WHAT HAPPENED WHEN HE DIED?
THE CURTAIN WAS TORN.
WHAT WAS THE CURTAIN FOR?
TO SEPARATE US FROM GOD’S PRESENCE?
WHY? BECAUSE OUR SIN SEPARATES US FROM GOD, BUT WHEN JESUS DIED HE PAVED THE WAY FOR US BACK INTO THE PRESENCE OF HIS FATHER.
JESUS CAME TO MAKE US SONS AND DAUGHTERS, TO MAKE US HIS BRIDE, TO MAKE US LIVING TEMPLES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
HE’S NOT INTERESTED IN RELIGIOUS PEOPLE.
HE’S INTERESTED IN A PEOPLE WHO KNOW HIM AND BELIEVE IN HIM.
WHO LIVES THEIR WHOLE LIVES FOR HIM - COMPLETELY ABANDONED TO HIM.
