What is one thing you’ve learned about yourself in the past 6 months?
I learned that relationships are a vital part of what we are doing here.
Without them we see ourselves treading water alone and not working together.
Let me tell you, alone is not a fun place to be.
relationships do not happen over night but they can take a lot of pressure off of us and give us stability in the work we are doing. I think relationships
And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Relationships are hard
are relationships worth the hard work? How come?
Before the sin problem God recognized that man was not intended to be alone.
We were built for relationships
So here is what i want to tell us today, friendship is a like a covenant
A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: And there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
This nature of friendship and relationship makes it difficult
But in the last six months I Have learned that everything in a relationship isn’t going to make you necessarily happy.
In fact, some relational aspects may be frustrating and hard, but a true Biblical relationship sticks by in the good and the bad.
Meaning we shouldn’t forsaken any friendship or relationship at the sight of trouble.
So I just want us all to challenge ourselves today to think about how we can do a better job at achieving this fruitful relationships in our lives.
Are we will ing to be in it for long haul even when its hard?
Are we willing to not agree sometimes?
Are we willing to compromise at times?
We are not in this alone.
God has given us each other to do this work here, now that doesn’t mean we won’t have controversy or that we will always get along but when we choose to put the hard work into a relationship that it deserves we may see God do something amazing through it.
