WATCHING WHAT GOD BLESSES
Genesis 41:51-52
Genesis 41:51-52 (KJV) 51  And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house. 52  And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.
Genesis 48:8-20 (KJV) 8  And Israel beheld Joseph's sons, and said, Who are these? 9  And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom God hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them. 10  Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he could not see. And he brought them near unto him; and he kissed them, and embraced them. 11  And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed. 12  And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth. 13  And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel's left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel's right hand, and brought them near unto him. 14  And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim's head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh's head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn. 15  And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day, 16  The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth. 17  And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head unto Manasseh's head. 18  And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head. 19  And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations. 20  And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.
THE PATRIARCH’S WERE GREAT MEN:
ABRAHAM, ISSAC, JACOB (ISRAEL), JOSEPH TO EPHRIAM
THE RIGHT HAND BLESSING OF THE FIRSTBORN WAS VERY SOUGHT AFTER
IT’S WHAT JACOB HAD FOUGHT FOR
WHEN ISRAEL WENT DOWN INTO EGYPT THE BIRTHRIGHT CEASED TO BE IMPORTANT.
EGYPT HAS A WAY OF TAKING THE SACRED THINGS OF GOD AWAY FROM US
IN GENESIS—THE BIRTHRIGHT PLAYED A GREAT PART IN THEIR INHERITANCE FROM ONE GENERATION TO ANOTHER.
THE FAMILY FUED OF JACOB AND ESAU WAS OVER THIS BIRTHRIGHT.
IN THE PROCESS OF TIME IN EGYPT THEY LOST THE VALUE OF THIS RIGHT HAND BLESSING OF GOD.
JOSEPH WAS SOLD BY HIS BROTHERS AND ENDS UP IN EGYPT.
BY ALL RIGHTS JOSEPH SHOULD’VE BEEN BITTER, MEAN & ANGRY.
AT THE AGE OF 30 JOSEPH BECOMES THE PHAROH’S PRIME MINISTER
NO OTHER 30 YR OLD LIKE HIM
GOD HAD SENT HIM TO SCHOOL IN PRISON
GOD GAVE JOSEPH 2 SONS IN EGYPT:
MANNASSAH—“FORGET” “THE LORD HELPED ME FORGET MY PAST”
FORGET MY TOIL & MY FATHERS HOUSE
NOT THE FATHER, BUT FATHERS HOUSE
JOSEPH KNOWS FATHER LOVES HIM
EPHRIAM—FRUITFUL
IN THOSE DAYS NAMES MEANT SOMETHING
NAMES WAS AN EXTINSION OF A CHARACTER OR PERSONALITY
BY ALL RIGHTS “FORGET” OR MANNASSAH SHOULD GET A DOUBLE PROTION (HE’S FIRSTBORN)
TIME COMES TO PASS THE LINEAGE OF THE DOUBLE BLESSING DOWN TO THE NEXT GENERATION
THE ELDER (JACOB) IS SOON TO DIE AND NEEDS TO TRANSFER THIS BLESSING DOWN
JOSEPH BROUGHT HIS TWO BOYS TO JACOB
ONLY 4 PEOPLE AT CHURCH THAT DAY
GOD DOSENT NEED BIG NUMBERS TO DO GREAT THINGS
SOMETHING SO IMPORTANT IT WILL LATER SHOW UP IN THE BOOK OF REVELATION
MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WILL BE AFFECTED IN THIS SERVICE WITH 4 PEOPLE:
AN OLD DYING MAN
HIS SON
HIS 2 GRANDSON’S
DON’T UNDERESTIMATE WHATS GOING ON HERE TODAY!
JACOB IS FRUITFUL
Genesis 48:3-4 (KJV) 3  And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me, 4  And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession.
JOSEPH IS FRUITFUL
Genesis 49:22 (KJV) 22  Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:
EPHRIAM IS FRUTFUL
Genesis 41:52 (KJV) 52  And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.
LOOK AT THE FRUITFULNESS OF THIS FAMILY:
PAPA (JACOB) WAS FRUITFUL
JOSEPH (HIS SON) WAS FRUITFUL
EPHRIAM (HIS SON) WAS FRUITFUL
GOD WANTS US TO BE FRUITFUL
HE WANTS TO PUT THE RIGHT HAND BLESSING ON US TODAY
WE NEED TO HAND OF GOD ON US TODAY
“IF GOD BE FOR US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US”
IF THE WHOLE WORLD IS AGAINST YOU & GOD IS FOR YOU, YOU’RE A WINNER
IF GOD ANT FOR YOU, YOUR IN TROUBLE, EVEN IF EVERYBODY IS FOR YOU
JACOB LOVED THAT RIGHT HAND BLESSING OF GOD
HE FOUGHT FOR IT LONG AND HARD
HE FOUGHT HIS FAMILY FOR IT
JACOB SAYS “I’VE BEEN IN TROUBLE ALL MY LIFE BECAUSE I LOVE THAT RIGHT HAND BLESSING”
JACOB SAID “I’VE GOT TO TRANSFER THIS TO SOMEBODY”
JACOB BYPASSED HIS FIRSTBORN, REUBEN (UNSTABLE AS WATER)
HE CAME ON DOWN TO JOSEPHS BOYS
JACOB SAYS TO JOSEPH (IN A SENSE) “AFTER TODAY THESE 2 BOYS ARE MINE”
REALLY THE 12 TRIBES OF ISREAL ARE:
10 OF JACOBS SONS
2 OF HIS GRANDSONS
OFFICAL ADOPTION THAT DAY
TEXT: JACOB WANTS TO BLESS THE SONS OF JOSEPH
JACOB WANTS THAT RIGHT HAND BLESSING ON HIS PAST (MANNASSAH—FORGET)
ILLUSTRATE: HE BRINGS MANNASSAH TO JACOBS RIGHT HAND AND EPHRIAM TO HIS LEFT HAND
HE WAS MAJORING ON “FORGET”
MY PAST
MY FAMILY
MY HURTS
14  And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim's head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh's head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.
WITTINGLY OR KNOWINGLY JACOB CROSSED HIS ARMS
INFLUENCED BY THE HOLY GHOST
GOD WASN’T PUTTING THE EMPHASIS ON HIS PAST BUT HIS FUTURE
WE ALL HAVE A MANASSEH AND AN EPHRIAM IN OUR LIFE
IF WERE NOT CAREFULL ALL OF OUR ENERGY AND TEARS WILL BE SPENT ON PAST:
WHAT MEN HAS DONE TO ME
WHAT I’VE LOST
WHAT A FOOL I’VE BEEN
IF WERE NOT CAREFUL ALL OF OUR PRAYERS WILL BE SPENT ON MANASSEH
MAYBE WAY DOWN IN JOSEPHS HEART HE WAS HOLDING SOME OLD GRUDGES
EPHRIAM REPRESENTS HIS FUTURE:
HIS TOMORROW
HIS PROMISE
HIS POTENTIAL
JACOB CROSSED HIS HANDS AND PUT HIS RIGHT HAND ON EPHRIAM
IN AN INSTANT HE PUT “FORGET” IN A DECLINING POSITION
TEXT: V17 “And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head unto Manasseh's head.
GOD KNOWS WHERE TO PUT HIS HANDS!
18  And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head. 19  And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it:
STOP TRYING TO MOVE GOD’S HAND, HE KNOWS WHAT HE’ DOING
SAYING TO JOSEPH “YOUR PAST ISNT NEARLY AS IMPORTANT AS IT WAS WHEN YOU CAME IN THIS BUILDING”
YOUR FUTURE IS MORE IMPORTANT TO GOD THAN YOUR PAST EVER WAS
GOD DOSENT CARE HOW YOU GOT HERE, BUT HOW YOU LEAVE HERE!
GOD IS STILL MORE CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR FUTURE THAN YOUR PAST.
DEVIL WILL KEEP YOU PRE-OCCUPIED WITH A PAST YOU CANT EVER UNDO
YOU CAN PUT IT UNDER THE BLOOD
THAT’S WHAT GOD SPEAILIZES IN
GOD WANTS TO PUT HIS RIGHT HAND ON OUR FUTURE
LOOK AT CALVARY & THIEF ON CROSS
JESUS DIDN’T BRING UP HIS PAST
HE PUT HIS RIGHT HAND ON HIS FUTURE!
TODAY YOU WILL BE WITH ME IN PARADISE!
OUR CHOICES HAVE BROUGHT US TO WERE WE ARE TODAY
LETS PRAY “GOD PUT YOUR HAND ON MY LIFE”
