Isaiah 53:1-5 (KJV) 1  Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 2  For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3  He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

IF WE COULD GO BACK TO ISRAEL’S WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE WE WOULD SEE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE IN TENTS.

RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THESE TENTS WE WOULD FIND “THE TABERNACLE”

THE TABERNACLE WAS THE CENTER OF ALL THINGS.

GOD HAD GIVEN THEM A LAW AS TO WERE THEY WOULD SET THERE TENTS AROUND THE TABERNACLE.

THERE WHOLE LIFE REVOLVED AROUND:

THE TABERNACLE

THE PROPHET MOSES

THE MAN OF GOD AARON

THE WORSHIP OF THEIR GOD

I BELIEVE THAT EVERYTHING STILL SHOULD REVOLVE AROUND THE HOUSE OF GOD, THE THINGS OF GOD!

IF GOD ISNT THE CENTER OF OUR LIVES THEN SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH US.

LATER BE KNOWN AS “THE TABERNACLE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, IN THE WILDERNESS.”

THE EXTERNAL PART OF THE TABERNACLE WAS TO BE LIKENED UNTO THE FLESH OF JESUS.

IT’S LACK OF APPEAL WOULD SYMBOLIZE THE FLESH OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST.

WHEN WE THINK OF SOMETHING THAT IS THE CENTER OF OUR LIFE, WE THINK OF SOMETHING GOOD, BEAUTIFUL.

WHEN MY WIFE DECORATES, SHE PAYS SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE CENTERPIECE. (NO TRASH CAN IN THE CENTER)

WHY DIDN’T THEY TRY TO DECORATE THIS TABERNACLE?

THEY HAD ENOUGH GOLD TO BUILD A GOLDEN CALF

CAN YOU IMAGINE THE STRANGER PASSING BY IN THE WILDERNESS THAT MADE FUN OF THEIR UGLY CHURCH?

WE KNOW THAT THERE WAS SOMETHING THAT WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS UGLY CHURCH.

SOMETHING THAT WAS BEYOND THE VEIL.

SOMETHING YOU COULDN’T SEE FROM THE OUTSIDE.

BEYOND THE BADGERS SKIN WAS SOME OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FURNITURE YOU WILL EVER SEE.

MEN WITH TALENT FROM GOD HAND CRAFTED EVERY PIECE

GOLD COVERING THE ARK

BEAUTIFUL DRAPS AND CURTIAN

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING IN THIS UGLY TABERNACLE WAS THE CLOUD OF THE GLORY AND POWER OF GOD ALMIGHTY!

THE OLD TESTAMENT TABERNACLE WAS A TYPE AND SHADOW OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

NOW THINK OF THE KINGS OF EGYPT, FINEST CLOTHES, FINEST FOOD, HEAD GEAR ETC.

ISAIAH SAID OF THE “KING OF KINGS” “HE HATH NO FORM NOR COMELINESS…..NO BEAUTY”

I DON’T KNOW WHAT ALL THAT IMPLIES

MAYBE HIS SHOULDERS DROPED?

MAYBE HIS EARS WERE REAL BIG?

HE WASN’T THE YOUNG MAN THAT ALL THE GIRLS WOULD PICK OUT OF THE CROWD AND TALK ABOUT.

NO BEAUTY IN HIM THAT WE SHOULD DESIRE HIM

A MAN OF SORROW

ACQUAINTED WITH GRIEF

THEY SAID“ISNT THIS THE CARPENTER’S SON?”

THEY COULDN’T SEE BEYOND THE BADGER’S SKIN

I REMEMBER SEEING A MAN AT STORE WITH HIS FACE SO TWISTED AND MARRED THAT I “HID” MY FACE SO AS TO NOT EMBARESS HIM.

ISAIAH 53:3 “WE HID AS IT WERE OUR FACE FROM HIM”

WHY DID THE KING OF KINGS COME TO EARTH IN SUCH A DISADVANTAGE?

HE COULD HAVE COME: TALL, BROAD SHOULDERS, LOOKING LIKE ROYAL SEED.

WHEN WE SEE JESUS IN ISAIAH WE SEE EXACTLY WHAT GOD WANTED US TO SEE.

THE WORLD NO DOUBT LAUGHS AT US, AND MOCKS OUR ATTEMPTS TO LOVE AND WORSHIP GOD.

WE DON’T HAVE A MILLION DOLLAR CATHEDRAL

LOOK AT SOME OF OUR “MEMBER’S” (WE TRY TO DRESS UP)

SOME OF US OUR NOSE IS TO LONG

SOME OF US ARE POP BELLIED

SOME OF US HAVE EARS TO BIG

JUST COMMON/SIMPLE PEOPLE WORKING EVERYDAY TO PROVIDE FOOD AND KEEP THE LIGHTS ON.

THEY MOCK US AND SAY “THAT STUPID TOUNGE TALKING EXPERIENCE”

YOU WOULD BE AMAZED AT THE KIND OF HOUSES THAT GOD CHOSES TO LIVE IN!

SOME OF THE PITIFUL PEOPLE THAT GOD SAYS “I’M GOING TO HOUSE MY GLORY IN HIM/HER”

IN THAT TWISTED, MARRED UP MAN/WOMAN

THEY STILL HAVE SCARS OF SIN & A ROUGH LIFE

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (KJV) 9   Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? GOD SAYS “I DON’T CARE WHAT THE WORLD SAYS, I’M NOT TRYING TO IMPRESS THE WORLD.”

MANY CHURCH’S HAVE BOUGHT INTO THE WORLDS IDEA OF WHAT “CHURCH” IS.

SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON A BEAUTIFUL BUILDINGS TO SHOW OFF TO THE WORLD.

BEAUTIFUL BUILDINGS AND CHOIR LOFTS ISNT GOING TO GET THE JOB DONE.

John 12:21 (KJV) 21  The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.

WE WANT TO SEE THE REASON BEHIND WHY YOU PEOPLE BEING SO EXCITED.

REASON BEHIND WHY YOU HAVE LEFT ALL AND FOLLOWED HIM?

REASON POOR PEOPLE CAN SMILE AND WORSHIP GOD?

REASON BEHIND SOMEONE WITH CANCER WORSHIPPING GOD?

WHEN PETER FIRST SAW THE LORD, I DON’T BELIEVE HE IMMEDIATELY KNEW WHO JESUS WAS.

And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. 4  Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. 5  And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. 6  And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. 7  And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. THIS MIRACLE WASN’T DONE JUST SO PETER COULD CATCH A LOT OF FISH.

it is miraculous, but it is more than a miracle, it is a sign.

A sign is a miracle which points to some truth.

It was a sign given by Christ in order to reveal Himself to Peter.
