Paul Revere’s Ride:
In 1863 Henry Wadsworth Longfellow penned the poem “Paul Revere’s Ride.”
In his 13 stanza poem, Longfellow describes the events surrounding Paul Revere’s ride warning the colonists that the British were coming.
In the last stanza of the poem, Longfellow wrote the following;
“So through the night rode Paul Revere; And so through the night went his cry of alarm To every Middlesex village and farm,--- A cry of defiance, and not of fear, A voice in the darkness, a knock at the door, And a word that shall echo for evermore!
For, borne on the night-wind of the Past, Through all our history, to the last, In the hour of darkness and peril and need, The people will waken and listen to hear The hurrying hoof-beats of that steed, And the midnight message of Paul Revere.”
Paul Revere served as a watchman ready to sound the alarm that the enemy was approaching.
As I was preparing for today I asked the Lord “What do you want the church in PennDel to know?” and this is how He responded;
Faith Assembly, as a humble servant of our Lord Jesus Christ, I come to you this morning to cry out and say the spiritual enemy is coming (and is here) to steal, kill, and destroy this generation of teens and it is time for the church in America to wake from her slumber and be ready to fight for the souls of these teens.

3 Ways To Pour Into Students:
1.) Encourage Students to be Gospel-Centered:
-We must get back to the basics of Gospel living.
-What is the Gospel?
A.) God is love.
B.) Our sins divide us from the Lord.
C.) Out of love, Jesus Christ died for our sins and came back to life.
The first time He came on a mission to save, His second coming He will be on a mission to judge the living and the dead.
D.) We must decide whether or not that we will trust in the Living God.
E.) When we put our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit dwells within our hearts to empower us to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ.
2.) Empower Students:
-The Holy Spirit provides supernatural empowerment.
-We must be open to empowering students to use their God given gifts and talents for the glory of Jesus Christ.
We must stop hindering students from living and proclaim the life of Jesus Christ.
They don’t need to wait until their 18, 25, or 35, to start serving the Lord!
3.) Equip Students:
-We are called to make disciples of all nations, including this generation of teens.
How can you a be a part of this mission?
Get involved with the teens!
(Disciple the teens)
(Story Example: Jane Thompson 82 year old woman who hosted a bible study for young adults)
Don’t give up on the this generation of teens.
My Biggest Fear:
I don’t want to see a generation not acknowledge the Lord.
I want to see a generation committed to the cause of Christ!
The battle for the this generation of students souls are at stake.
I am lighting the lanterns to tell you the enemy is here.
Will you join us in this fight?
