We Are All In This Together

We Are all In this together was true, but it wasn’t at the same time.
We Lost something that was so very important, we lost our community
During Creation God saw everything and said it was good, except one thing, Adam didn’t have Community
In fact John Wesley said.
You must find companions or make them. The Bible knows nothing of solitary religion.
We Cannot do this on our own.
Mark 2:1–4 NIV
A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. They gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them. Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on.

The Man Healed Had a Community That Helped Him.

his community
Carried him to the house
Carried him to the roof
dug a hole in a roof
and lowered him down
This man’s community got him to Jesus

Community Should Help Us See Jesus

in our community we should be getting each other closer to God
The man getting healed had a community willing to take the time to get him closer to Christ
Let me ask a question

What Is Your Mat?

What is your brokenness?
Question, Am I available to let someone in? To see the tough stuff in my life?

In Community We Carry Each Others Mats

In Community We Do The Hard Work
