5 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”
21 “The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’
We talked about the recurring theme of scripture of the discipleship journey that is also found everywhere in scripture. From the very beginning of God’s plan of redemption and reconciliation of His creation, they were blessed to be a blessing.
18 And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed—all because you have obeyed me.”
The culmination of this was seen at the end of the Gospels”
18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.
19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
1. We are called to belong to Christ.
1. We are called to belong to Christ.
It’s not who you are, it’s whose you are!
2. We are called to reconcile people to God.
2. We are called to reconcile people to God.
19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.

We must constantly make sure that our individual giftings and calling are working towards the before mentioned over arching purpose.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE
21 Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”
8 But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil.
30 “In the past God tolerated our ignorance of these things, but now the time of deception has passed away. He commands us all to repent and turn to God.
14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?
15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”
FINDING YOUR FIT @ LHC
Always work from purpose backwards when trying to find your place.
That is, why doe LHC exist? What can I do be a part of that.
Any number of people can participate, but there is only one team. Any number of jobs are required to accomplish our goals, but there is only one team.
There are essentially two types of service at LHC.
Serving and Ministering
All are necessary, no part of the body is without it’s purpose.
All ministry is rooted in service to others.
God will always pre-qualify a person with service before He allows them into ministry.
“Service is the only legitimate currency of influence.” ~ PD
Each has it’s own prerequisites, depending on the nature of the position.
