How would you feel if all your children believed every word you said? When you tell them to leap from a cliff, though they can’t see the water at the bottom? Or not to reach their arm into that hole because there is a snake in there? How pleased are you when how they listen shows how much they trust that you never want to see them hurt and want them to have good things? Now look at God. Do you trust Him that much? Can He tell you to drive 300 miles north and you’ll trust that the reason why will be revealed once you’ve gone that far? Even more so, will you trust Him even if He never tells you why? The analogy of God being the Father and us His children is the main theme of our relationship with Him because of how true and relatable it is.
