Jesus gives you the opportunity to know of His Glory before you get to see Him.
Jesus gives you the opportunity to know of His Glory before you get to see Him.
The graciousness of Jesus is shown to us all by the way he treats Peter.
Peter is on a roller coster ride of emotions. He just proclaimed out loud that Jesus is the Christ the Son of the Living God. And then He tries to impose the cultural understanding of who the Messiah is and Jesus tells him Get behind me Satan. Now Peter is called to go tot he to of the Mountain with Jesus, James and John. And what does he see? One of the most unexpected sights imaginable.
Whenever you put your faith in the person and work of Jesus for the forgiveness of your sin. Your past present and future sin are forgiven. Jesus love for you never changes.
We see Peter sins and look at how Jesus is now treating him. Not only that Peter then goes on to deny Jesus 3 times. And He accepted by Jesus and given the privilege to bring the Gospel to the people God has appointed to receive it. You are no different.

Our misunderstanding of Glory
Our misunderstanding of Glory
God’s Glory
The glory of God is the splendor and brilliant beauty that shines through all of the divine attributes but is especially evident in the crucified and risen Christ.
At times we tend to have a misunderstanding of what Glory is.
We think of times when we may have won a game or scored a touchdown or became a parent or gotten married or the time you shot your first deer or got a good grade on a hard test or the promotion at work or a new job.
We equate monuments events in our lives a glorious events.
The Glory of God has not been revealed to this generation of men. The God of contemporary Christianity is only slightly superior to the gods of Greece and Rome, if indeed He is not actually inferior to them in that He is weak and helpless while they at least had power.4

Jesus is showing us that now that he is here is the fulfilment of the Prophets and the Law.
Jesus is Elijah and the Miracles he preformed.
V. 11 Elijah and and John the Baptist
Mal 4:5-6 “Look, I am going to send you the prophet Elijah before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes. And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise, I will come and strike the land with a curse.””
Matthew 11:14 “And if you’re willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who is to come.”
Elijah is not reincarnated as John the Baptist -
John the Baptist came with the Spirit of Elijah, not the soul. The spirit in the way can me intentions and desires. What he plans to accomplish
