The Keys to the House

Building a house does not happen over night. It takes time and dedication. Today I want to speak with you about a carpenter and his plan for us.
john 14:1-3
“Your heart must not be troubled. Believe[a] in God; believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places;[b] if not, I would have told you. I am going away to prepare a place for you. If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also.
Jesus gave the plan to live a successful life in 3 simple verses.
In Verse 1 “Your heart must not be troubled. Believe[a] in God; believe also in Me.”
Trouble pass when you have faith
this is the first key to God house
If we try to live our lives by ourselves we will fail. Fall right on our heads. This world gets us down and keep us down if we let it. Everything is depressing now a days. Seriously look at the news for one minute. There is death all around us. There might be times when we think God has abandon us. It all matters where our focus is. A lot of the disciples thought that Jesus would establish his kingdom on Earth. They had just found out that Jesus was going to be crucified. But even then Jesus wanted him to trust in God. Our heart must not be troubled. If we believe god for his word. For his financial provision. For his goodness. For his mercy on us. For his unchanging behavior. Why do we have troubles when god has got us. They’re nothing that we should worry about.
Illustration
An exasperated husband asked his wife, "Why are you always worrying when it doesn't do any good?" She quickly piped back, "Oh yes it does! Ninety percent of the things I worry about never happen."
this is how we can look at life through eyes of worry thinking it’s doing us good. When you do this you get relief for something that you could  be trusting god in. We need believe god for his faithful. For who he says he is.
Transition: if we stop worrying we can share the gospel
V2 “ In My Father’s house are many dwelling places;[b] if not, I would have told you. I am going away to prepare a place for you”
the second key is there are rooms that need filling.
The word of God can not lie. Jesus was telling the disciples that soon salvation would come to everyone. He wanted his disciples to realize that salvation was for everyone. The disciples did not know at the time what there lives would turn into. A lot of them would die in the spreading of the Gospel but Jesus has been preparing for each and everyone of us. He has a place let honor God sacrifice by not allowing his wishes to go in vain. The disciples figured out that the Father house was a place where he was. The apostle Paul longed to be in the fathers house. He even went far enough to says to live as Christ to die is gain. Let get excited that Jesus house is a huge place. After they had mourned Christ after their worry they did what Jesus wanted them to do spreading. Let us not deny who we allow into heaven. That right us. Let not block people from receiving the gospel.
Transition: His room need fill but he is returning
V3 If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also
The Last key is there was a reason for his leaving.
The reason Jesus had to leave because he needed to send the holy spirit to us. The disciples did not understand why he had to go away but they knew who Jesus was. He gave us the power to be able to do his will. the disciples went out to do his will. They kept the fact that Jesus was coming back in mind that he was just preparing a place for them. Jesus gave us the promise of his return. He wants us to come with him.
At the end of the day no matter what happens Jesus will receive us to his kingdom.
Conclusion
The Father built us a place for us to go. Let us use the keys to his house. if we stop worrying and trust God in who he is. Once we do that we can help fill his house. Let us keep Jesus return always in our mind. Let us let Christ finishes building what he started.
