to show that you are not

The Freedom From The Law

We are free from becoming Righteous by Law keeping

Romans 10:4 ESV

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Righteous In Christ

what is righteousness?

Freedom To Be Who We Were Made To Be

The Slavery We Were Put Into: The Curse

we were created to take dominion and tend the garden

we have taken a detour and we are trying to get back

The detour has included sin that has infected us

which has created a corrupted creation

instead of Working for righteousness (Our original design) We work for evil (Our Corrupted Drives)

We are the New Creation

2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

What was the old that passed away? The Human sinful desires that ruled us, that our spirit was carried along with.

now its the opposite. Our spirits, helped and guided by the Holy Spirit, now control the flesh, our bodily desires.

who we were no longer defines us but who we are in Christ and what our purpose is

Created For Good Works, Not By Them

Ephesians 2:8–10 ESV

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

we fulfil our purpose in Christ by doing good works

What Happens when we think that either “I Cant be a Christian yet because i have done enough good works.” or “Im not effective in Chirst until ive done enough works.”

Weighed Down By Our Sins, We Lose Our Effectiveness

Romans 6:6 ESV

We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.

Now that we have been Justified by faith, sanctified through The Spirit and Works, we can fall into the temptation that Jesus didn't do enough for us because i don't do enough or not doing all i can do and we are crushed by our sins

we have to remember how God sees us (With Christs righteousness)

Jesus took away distracted working

Freedom To Enjoy God

Seeing God In Wrath Rather Than Compassion

We are tempted to think because of our continual sins, God sees us in wrath rather than love

We have to remember that we have an advocate

1 John 2:1 ESV

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

New Living Translation, “My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous

we act like when we sin we have to be a self-advocate, but we already have the best advocate

we act like we Jesus wants nothing to do with us until we finish getting this sin out of our lives

this is what He does and is His very heart for His people. The doctor doesnt heal the heathly when they are all better, He heals the sick. We know that about Jesus. He came to heal the sick and he came for the unrighteous, not for the righteous. did He stop having that drive for you once you became a Christian? no
