When they reached the crowd, a man approached and knelt down before him. “Lord,” he said, “have mercy on my son, because he has seizures and suffers terribly. He often falls into the fire and often into the water. I brought him to your disciples, but they couldn’t heal him.”
Jesus replied, “You unbelieving and perverse generation, how long will I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring him here to me.” Then Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and from that moment the boy was healed.
Then the disciples approached Jesus privately and said, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”
“Because of your little faith,” he told them. “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
verses 14-16 “The Mountain”
You have this man son with seizures and suffers terrbly.
If YOU are a parent you know how big of a mountain this is.
Taking Bryson to the Hospital.
He rushes his son to the Disciples and they can’t help.
Put yourself in his shoes.
So now this man is standing before the LORD pleading for the heath of his son. “have mercy on my son”
Jesus response
Jesus replied, “You unbelieving and perverse generation, how long will I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring him here to me.” Then Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and from that moment the boy was healed.
“You unbelieving and perverse generation,”
What did Jesus see in their heart in this moment?
I think about our unbelief when I read this passage.
How many of us believe that USA could be brought back to the LORD?
How many of us now that GOD has called us to do something and then disbelieve our ability to do it?
Then Jesus ask to hard question?
How long will I be with you?, How long must I put up with you?
Jesus wanted them to have faith in Him yet still they doudted Him.
This question were out of Love not frustration.
The Lord does not delay his promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.
Jesus wanted them to have faith so they would come to repentance.
Jesus cast out the demon in the boy and he was healed.
Jesus explains to his disciples
Then the disciples approached Jesus privately and said, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”

The disciples approached Jesus privately. why?
Their question “Why coundn’t we drive it out?”
“Because of your little faith” this must of stung alittle for the disciples.
faith the size of a mustard seed! how small was their faith? have you seen a mustard seed.
With this size of faith you can move mountains. WOW!
He doesn’t stop there He tells them, “Nothing will be impossible for you”
Don’t tell GOD what is impossible for you!
What, then, are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
I am able to do all things through him who strengthens me.
