Faith is often a misunderstood category of Christianity. In this passage of Scripture, the father of the demon-possessed boy expresses a desire to believe. That belief, however, cannot remain a half-baked "belief" that only sees Jesus as an "if you can" Messiah. Faith is like a light switch - it's either on of off. Faith should see that with God, all things are possible.
