The moral commands in vv 25-32 flow out of vv 22-24. God’s Word has commanded us to put off several features of the old, sinful man. This new man we have been told to don resembles the character of God. In v 24, the new self is created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. This feature of the likeness of God in our new man in Christ becomes very much in focus in our text.
