An Outward Look Brings Conflict (2-12)
The seeming prosperity of the wicked nearly caused Asaph to stumble in his walk.
The wicked seem to live trouble free.
The wicked seem to live in pride judgement free.
The wicked seem to live in pleasure consequence free.
The wicked seem to boast pain free.
An Inward Look Brings Confusion (13-16)
He was cleansed and chastened, but confused over the disparity in circumstances.
An Upward Look Brings Clarity (17-24)
Then he looked up and God brought clarity:
God’s Personal Presence
God’s Sustaining Power
God’s Guiding Purpose
God’s Covenant Promise
A Forward Look in Confidence (25-28)
Because the Lord is in Heaven we can have confidence and strength.
