I. When Jesus and a multitude left Jericho, two blind men on the wayside cried out for mercy.
A. Jesus and the multitude were leaving from Jericho.
Jericho is interesting because it is the first city that the Israelites took over in their conquest of Canaan.
Jericho would have been a place that multitudes would have gathered to make the trek to Jerusalem for the Passover. However, there is no mention of the the Passover, but that the crowds were following Jesus.
II. The multitudes showed no mercy.
III. Jesus responds to cries for compassion with compassion.
IV. Those who receive compassion respond to compassion by getting up and following Jesus.
