Proving and Approving the Will of God!

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, SO THAT you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect!

*The will of God is something every person should be aware of and concerned about before they leave this world!

*Whatever we may think the will of God is, we know that it is GOOD, and it should be ACCEPTABLE,and it will be PERFECT (Romans 12:2)!

*For example, we know God is not willing for anyone to perish, but for everyone to come to repentance!

*After coming to repentance, it is imperative for each of us to understand our ASSIGNMENT has been received with our CO-MISSIONS (Mt 28:18-20; Matthew 10:7-8)!

*What is our CO-MISSION? Our CO-MISSION is to GO into all the world and make disciples of people who are willing to become followers of Christ . . .

*As you GO, PREACH, saying the Kingdom of heaven is at hand, heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons . . . GO . . . MAKE DISCIPLES . . . TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THAT I COMMANDED YOU . . .

‌*What are we CO-MISSIONED to TEACH and what are our students supposed to OBSERVE? We are Co-Missioned to teach and demonstrate all that Christ commanded His followers to do!

1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God does not consist in words, but in power!

*The RELIGIOUS mind teaches with WORDS, but the RENEWED mind teaches with POWER!

*What is our PROMISE? Our promise is that as part of our CO-MISSION—Christ, the Great I AM—will be with us in every ASSIGNMENT we embrace!

. . . and remember, I AM with YOU always—even to the end of the age!

*It requires POWER to accomplish our ASSIGNMENTS, so where does the POWER come from?

The POWER to fulfill our assignment comes in our ENCOUNTERS in the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8)! You will receive POWER after the Holy Spirit comes UPON you . . . and you will be My witnesses!

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is . . . righteousness and peace and joy IN the Holy Spirit!

*If we never have encounters IN the Holy Spirit, we never “prove” the will of God”! ‌

*So, today I would like to explore with you what the will of God might be for your life and for my life!

*The Will of God Is Something . . .

‌I. DECLARED by the SAVIOR!

‌Matthew 6:10 Pray then in this way: Our Father who is in heaven . . . Your WILL be done, on earth as it is in heaven!

‌*In this passage, Jesus tells us how to pray for God’s will to be done, on earth as it is in heaven, but tells us what the will of God is a few chapters later . . .

‌Matthew 10:7-8 As you GO, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand (Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven) . .

‌. . .heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers and cast our demons!

‌*This is part of our ASSIGNMENT that is included in our CO-MISSION Jesus declared prior to His Ascension back to Heaven . .

‌Matthew 28:18 . . . all authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth, Go therefore and make disciples . . . teaching them to OBSERVE all that I COMMANDED you

‌*As you are GOING, do the Will of God on earth as it is in heaven . . . heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons!

‌*These are some of the things the apostle Paul says are GOOD, ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT. . . and should be considered our REASONABLE service of Worship (Romans 12:2)!

*The Will of God is something . . .

‌II. DESCRIBED in the SCRIPTURE!

‌Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, SO THAT you may prove what the will of God is . . .

‌*The will of God is something that requires your mind to be RENEWED to prove what it is!

Acts 10:38 . . . God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and with power . . .

Jesus is the prototype for the lifestyle of His disciples . . .

Acts 10:38 . . . and He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him!

*Notice the declaration Jesus made that is described for us in the Scripture . . .

John 14:12 Truly, Truly, I say to YOU, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also, AND greater works than these he will do, because I go to the Father!

‌*When Jesus went UP, the Holy Spirit was poured OUT and when the Spirit was poured out upon the Disciples, they were clothed with POWER to do the will of God!

‌*The Disciples who had these encounters with the Holy Spirit, went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because they knew God was with them . . .

‌*So, what changed from then until now?

*The Will of God is Something . . .

‌III. DISTORTED by SATAN!

‌1 John 4:3 . . . this is the spirit of the antichrist . . . and now it is already in the world!

*The word CHRIST means “The Anointed One.”

‌*The word ANTI means “against”, and the spirit of antichrist is against the anointing that is required to do The Will of God on earth as it is in Heaven!

‌*The demonic spirit that rests on Religion partners with the demonic spirit that is “against” the anointing on your life and mine!

‌*As a result, Religion has distorted the meaning and understanding of the Will of God on earth as it is in heaven so badly . . .

‌. . . that the will of God that is promoted by Religion can be done without the anointing!

*The Will of God is Something . . .

‌IV. DESIRED by the SAINTS!

‌Romans 12:2 . . . but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, SO THAT you may prove what the will of God is!

‌Romans 12:3 For through the grace given to me, I say to everyone among you . . . God has allotted to each a MEASURE of faith!

‌*Your Bible says, without faith it is impossible to please God, so the issue is, what are we doing with the measure of faith God has allotted to each of us?

The renewed mind understands our. . .

‌A. ASSIGNMENTS will INVOLVE us doing the impossible will of God!

‌The renewed mind understands our. . .

‌B. ADVERSARY will IMPEDE us doing the impossible will of God!

‌The renewed mind understands the . .

‌C. ANOINTING will INVADE the impossible will of God!

‌*We either operate with a Renewed mind or we operate with a Soul-ish, Carnal, Religious mind, but what is the difference between them?

‌1. A renewed mind thinks from heaven to earth!

‌2. A soul-ish mind thinks from earth to heaven!

3. A renewed mind says WOW to God’s impossible assignments!

4. A soul-ish mind says HOW to God’s impossible assignments!

5. A renewed mind EXPECTS to invade the impossible on earth and knows it has been ENABLED to do the impossible on earth!

6. A renewed mind knows heaven is our DESTINATION and BRINGING heaven to EARTH is our RESPONSIBILITY!

7. A soul-ish mind HOPES heaven is our destination and GOING to heaven is our greatest ASSIGNMENT!

8. A renewed mind focuses on the Gospel of the KINGDOM but a soul-ish mind focuses on the Gospel of SALVATION and does not embrace the ASSIGNMENTS of the Kingdom!

9. A soul-ish mind considers what IT can DO for God, a renewed mind considers what GOD can do THROUGH it!

10. A renewed mind understands IT is the GATEKEEPER of the SUPERNATURAL!

A soul-ish mind believes it is the GATEKEEPER of RELIGIOUS traditions!

‌How Does The Mind Become Renewed?

‌A. A renewed mind requests to become a CONTAINER for God’s Presence!

‌B. A renewed mind requests to become a CARRIER of God’s Presence!

‌C. A renewed mind requests to become a CONDUIT for God’s Presence to flow through to others!

*‌A renewed mind reflects the reality of another world like Jesus did!

*A renewed mind lives from encounter to encounter IN the Holy Spirit and PROVES and or APPROVES the will of God!
