Genesis 7

Genesis 7:1-24

The Great Flood

a. Faith/Patience

We have seen Noah’s obedience. Now we see his patience.

b. Come vs1

If God told Noah to come, He must have been there already right.

When God instructs us we must realize that He is already there and He wants us to join Him.

7 Days

a. God gave 7 days for Noah to get the animals in.

b. 2 each male and female; unclean

c. 7 each male and female; clean

Destruction

2 Peter 3:6 “and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished.”

a. God blotted out life.

b. God also provided salvation

Noah was obedient to God. He may not have understood what an ark was but he built it. He may not have understood why it was going to rain but he prepared for it. He may not have understood if people would repent but he preached it!

Judgement and Salvation

a. Noah was faithful and Patient

40 days/nights did it rain and for 150 days was the water that prevailed over the earth.

Will you be like Noah?

Will you realize the deserving judgement of your life but receive the salvation offered by God?
