Memorial Day Ceremony 512TH Maintenance Company
Memorial Day Ceremony
512th Maintenance Company
INVOCATION:
Almighty God, we come at this time to remember the Sacrifices of men and women of the armed forces who died in the service of their country. Freedom rings around the world in memory of these might fallen who gave their all in the service of their country. Freedom rings in classrooms, places of worship, business and enterprise, farms, and homes and in the minds of servicemen and women, deployed around the world. The ring of freedom does not come easy. The cost of these lives was and is enormous, but we recognize that these gifts of heaven enable us to hear still yet, the joyful sounds of Freedom in American heritage. We ask you to bless this hallowed memory today, that we would never forget, the price of freedom.

MEMORIAL ADDRESS: Abraham Lincoln stood at Gettysburg
The 30th of May, 1868, is designated for the purpose of strewing with flowers, or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country during the late rebellion, and whose bodies now lie in almost every city, village, and hamlet churchyard in the land. In this observance no form of ceremony is prescribed, but posts and comrades will in their own way arrange such fitting services and testimonials of respect as circumstances may permit.

BENEDICTION
O Lord, we leave this ceremony with the thought of the sacrifice so dear to us upon our hearts. Give us the Grace to never forget and always remember the precious value of the freedoms and liberties we hold so dear. Give us the courage, upon these foundations of honor, to strive away from our lowest and least, to our highest and best.
In Your Name we pray. Amen
