focus on day 6
formed- (not spoken)
by God’s hand (v7)
from dust
breath of life
God gave Adam everything that was good: (food, water, shelter, purpose, beauty…) BUT it was not good that man was alone.
Creation of Woman- from Man’s rib
not the head, not the foot, but from his side, close to his heart.

Ps. 8.

v1-2. Declares who God is
v3-4 Asks who man is
v5-8. Answers who man is in God’s sight (vs negative self image)
lower than the Elohim, higher than plants and animals
Humans are NOT “animals”. They are IMAGERS. Testimony to God’s revelation.
Sacredness of life
We are not merely subject to base animal instinct
We are not whatever demeaning lie Satan tries to throw at us.

v9 Reiterates God’s majesty

Romans 1:16-23

What happens when Man forgets God and replaces Him with nothing?
Naturalistic Evolutionism= the greatest insult to the majesty of God’s revealed creativity.
It leads to worship of the creation instead of the Creator.

Colossians 1:15-20

Colossians 1:15–20 ESV
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.
Origin, purpose, destiny, morality- Jesus is the answer.
