How many times have we have said something is NOT working? How many times do we look at a portion of our lives and believe look at it with regret. How many times have we asked the question, Lord, what have I done to deserve this that I have. I have read your word, I’ve come to church, Bible Study, Sunday School, revivals, conferences, prayer services, I’ve pray at home, I pray for my friends and enemies, and yet I am here dealing with what I am dealing with. What have I done to deserve this. Well God sent me this way to tell someone briefly that God allowed things to happen but the good news is that even though it don’t feel good, it going to work for your good. As a matter of fact, tell someone it’s all good.
Background
Background
Our text is found this morning in the 2 Epistles of Paul to the Corinthian Church. The central theme of 2 Corinthians is the relationship between suffering and the power of the Spirit in Paul’s apostolic life, ministry, and message. Paul’s opponents had questioned his motives and his personal courage. They argued that he had suffered too much to be a Spirit-filled apostle of the risen Christ. But Paul argues that his suffering is the means God uses to reveal his glory (1:3–4, 11, 20).
