The complexity of Prayer

Many people are searching for answers in life, many people are using any method they can find to connect with the supernatural, they will even go as far as creating their own avenues to achieve this hightened sense of connection be it cutting themselves, performing demonic activities and even being willing to kill themselves to satisfy their need for the divine, but we as believers have one thing and that is prayer. Pray has been given to us as a way of communicating with the God that we serve and this became available to us at the conception of the Universe, when God created man it is proven that Adam met with God in the cool if the day in the same place which was how God knew something was wrong because after Adam fell he missed his time with God out of shame, David made it a happen to meet God early in the morning for devotion, Moses is often seen pulling away to Mtwha. Sinai away from the people to spend time with God, Daniel prayed 3 times a day ans was not willing to compromise his time even if that meant he was spend time with God in a Lion’s Den, Jesus often times in scripture after performing a miracle finds himself a high place to pray from which teills me that prayer should not be an event but it must be a lifestyle, a believer that doesn’t pray is a believer without clarity, without direction, without revelation and without intimacy. If you want to walk in the spirit you need to pray, if you want to experience a move of God you need to pray, if you want tohave peace in a storm tell somebody you must pray, but there is posture that must be eximplified when it comes to prayer. Psalm 24 says who shall ascend unto the hill of the Lord meaning the High Place, and who shall stand in his holy place, in other words there is an ascension that comes in prayer, you can pray from a low place but your access is limited, for God requires that before you can ascend you must have clean hands and a pure heart, you cannot come before God any way you please but you must come in a posture of repentance and you must come with the right motives, prayer is not just for receiving but prayer is also for giving, giving your time, giving your flesh and giving your ear to what God is saying, this is why i tell you that prayer is not a monologue but it it a dialogue, you must talk to God yes but you also must sit and let Him talk back to you concerning what you just talked to him about. Ask somebody what has he been saying to you? If he’s not speaking its only because you have not sat long enough to wait for his voice.
There are 2 things I want to talk about that prayer produces.

Prayer produces power

There is a strength you gain in prayer when you go to God on a situation and he will expose to you the power needed to get it done, its not easy praying to God when you are weak, when you are in distress or when you are feeling disappointed because he didn’t work out that last situation how you wanteed him to, maybe that family member didn’t survive, maybe that relationship didn’t work out, maybe that job didn’t work out and now I have to go back to God and put myself in a predicament to be so called let down again? But David I said when my heart is overwhelmed don’t take me to someone who can’t handle my frustration but lead me to the rock that is high enough to see the whole picture therefore he can remind me that he knows the plans he has for me, my strength does not come from my complaining but it comes in me knowing who’ got ot all under control, for it is not by our might nor by our ability but it is by His spirit that im encouraged that he knows the way I shoud go and when I am being tried in a situation I shall come forth as pure gold, tell somebody there is power in prayer!

Prayer produces patience

How do you handle the silence of God? When it seems like everyone else has clear direction and you haven’t heard from God concerning your situation. Tell someone rely on his faithfulness. There is a difference between God’s goodness and his faithfulness (children on Isarael in Egypt).
Paul has to wait on God to remove a thorn God never intended on removing but if he had stop asking after the first or second time he would ‘ve missed out on the fact that God says my grace is sufficient, I Daniel had given up his routine of prayer he would not have had the persitence needed for his assignment. You must find your routine in prayer and dont base your consistency on results but the effectual and fervent, intense prayers of the righteous availeth much, and I’ve come to tell you you’re about to see results from what you’ve been praying about, one door after the other, this why I tell you don’t stop praying because the Lord is nigh, he’s closer than you think and you can’t pull back now but you must press in harder than ever, tell somebody he’s closer than you think.

Character of Peter

Simon Peter is one of Jesus’ first disciples and later becomes the spokesman of the Twelve. Although Jesus gives Simon the name “Peter” (“rock”; Πέτρος, Petros; in Matt 16:18; Mark 3:16; Κηϕᾶς, Kēphas; in John 1:42), his ability to live up to it is often in doubt in the Gospels. Peter’s rebuke of the Lord (Matt 16:22–23; Mark 8:32–33), his falling asleep in the garden (Matt 26:40; Mark 14:37), his attack on Malchus (Mark 14:47; John 18:10–11), and his denial of Jesus (Matt 26:69–75; Mark 14:66–72; Luke 22:55–61; John 18:15–27) all support this perception. However, Jesus’ reinstatement of Peter in John 21:15–17 (“Do you love Me … feed My sheep”) communicates His confidence in and selection of him as the head of the early church.
