how to bring transformation to the earth. As sons and daughters of the King, worldly transformation comes through our process and faithfulness.
How do we stay positive and hopeful while enduring challenges intended to bring forth our transformation? It’s easy to get caught up in the roller coaster of our emotions when trying to make a change in our lives; however, staying focused on the importance of the process is key. If we trust the journey no matter how difficult it may become, it will inevitably lead us to a place of transformation and new understanding. We can think of this transformation as an opportunity that allows us to come out of the process with greater insight and a better understanding of who we truly are. Change can be difficult, but when we view it through the lens of hope and possibility, we may discover something beautiful waiting for us on the other side.
We are never designed to stay at one level in life we are designed by the God , always been moving from glory to glory, and this is through transformation that always starts with us first .
Have you ever sat and wondered why the Lord has called us to so much more? To love Him, serve Him and be used for His purpose. That call can bring up a lot of questions like ‘What is God’s plan for me?’ or ‘What impact are my life choices having on my mission for the Lord?’ It's easy to get too comfortable in our own spiritual direction that we start to forget about God's original design—that He never meant us to stay at one level in life. We are designed by the Father himself with hopes, dreams, and plans mapped out just ready for us; all He asks is that we submit ourselves fully unto him.
At every stage of the transformation process, we learn the nature of God- Clyde
Assigned for Eternity
1. Knowing Your Role
• You don’t have to know your title to know your assignment.
• Bill’s goal for first year students is that they are happy in their own skin.
• The role of each person is so unique that you are the only one qualified to fulfill your role.
Matthew 5:43-45 ““You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.”
B. Walking as Sons and Daughters
James 1:2-4 “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.”
• You are revealed as sons and daughters of God when you pray for those who spitefully use you.
Romans 8:22 “For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.”
• Something has to happen in your heart before He reveals you to the world.
• Prayer is a co-laboring role with God where His purposes are accomplished on the earth.
C. Preparing for Eternity
• We pray now to exercise our authority, but it is training for our co-reigning with the Lord in
eternity.
• Whatever you are exercising and learning here on earth you will take with you to eternity.
• Sometimes God would rather do things through you than for you.
Transformation. Is it inward work designed for outward demonstration of God’s glory-Clyde Lewis
It’s amazing to think about the power of transformation. Remembering that we can change any part of our lives is empowering, no matter where you are in life, transformation is always possible. Transformation is an inward journey with outward expression - it is up to us to actively choose and pursue this inward work for it to ultimately be demonstrated in glory for all the world to see and experience. As we transform ourselves on the inside, shining through from within and seeking to impact the outer world- our purpose in life becomes clearer and more attractive. Furthermore, we can think of transformation as collaborations between nature, yourself, and a higher power so that even during the most difficult times each person can feel fully supported; although those moments can still be tough they will never seem impossible!
2. Small Keys Open Big Doors
God Gives Really Good Gifts
• Do not dismiss the gifts and signs and wonders of God. He gives good gifts!
• Small keys open big doors.
• Sometimes we need natural things to change to buy-in to supernatural workings.
• Do you have the right to judge because of other people’s response? The act of God is the
healing story.
• Your comfort does not matter to God. You have the Comforter for these reasons.
• If you want to build tall, you have to build strong.
3. Transformation is a Process
What Do You Carry?
Luke 19:11-17 “The crowd was listening to everything Jesus said. And because he was nearing Jerusalem, he told them a story to correct the impression that the Kingdom of God would begin right away. He said, “A nobleman was called away to a distant empire to be crowned king and then return. Before he left, he called together ten of his servants and divided among them ten pounds of silver, saying, ‘Invest this for me while I am gone.’ But his people hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We do not want him to be our king.’ “After he was crowned king, he returned and called in the servants to whom he had given the money. He wanted to find out what their profits were. The first servant reported, ‘Master, I invested your money and made ten times the original amount!’ “ ‘Well done!’ the king exclaimed. ‘You are a good servant. You have been faithful with the little I entrusted to you, so you will be governor of ten cities as your reward.’”
• Transforming the world comes through process.
• To see cities changed, look at what is in your hands, what your abilities are.
• Faithfulness in the process sets you up for the moment.
“And Suddenly...”
Acts2 “On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. At that time there were devout Jews from every nation living in Jerusalem. When they heard the loud noise, everyone came running, and they were bewildered to hear their own languages being spoken by the believers. They were completely amazed. “How can this be?” they exclaimed. “These people are all from Galilee, and yet we hear them speaking in our own native languages! Here we are—Parthians, Medes, Elamites, people from Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus, the province of Asia, Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, and the areas of Libya around Cyrene, visitors from Rome …”
• Heaven came to earth after earth invaded heaven for ten days.
• Process positions us for breakthrough.
THE TWO WOLVES There is a Native American legend in which an old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life using a metaphor about two wolves: “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil—he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good—he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you—and inside every other person, too.” The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?” The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”[1]
