Romans 10:9–10 CSB
If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.
The Pointer Sisters in 1976, wrote a song, titled, if you have to believe in something why not believe in me? A great song from the movie Car Wash. Yet instill it was secular. The Chicago Bulls in the early nineties, believed in an individual, named Micheal Jordan. The Chicago Bulls also believed, that if they got passed, the Goliath at that time, the Detroit Pistons that the NBA finals would be a breeze.
One belief is from the mouth, while the other belief is from the heart. Romans 10:10
Romans 10:10 CSB
One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.
Now I’m not saying, that believing in the Chicago Bulls brings righteousness, although they were righteous, in the nineties, nor am I saying that the Pointer Sisters, brings about salvation.
But, I know a man who can and who does both if you believe. He is, the Son of Man, the Son of GOD, He is Jesus! John 3:16
John 3:16 CSB
For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Now, belief is defined as: An acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists. John 3:16 is a true statement and IT is the Word of GOD, and Jesus.. is that something that exists. Case in point, when He shows up in our time of need, we say, “Ump, that Jesus, He sho’ is something”.
John 3 :16 is the foundational belief for believers, it is also the gateway to our faith.
Now, let me explain. The belief or believing is the root of a tree, if you want to see how deeply the roots spread, look at the top of the tree. In a sense, its like taking the tree and flipping it upside down.
(Give your Testimony about our tree).
BUT I AM TELLING YOU NOW, THAT THE ONE WHOM YOU SHALL SEEK AFTER AND BELIEVE IN, IS JESUS, AND HE WILL GIVE YOU WATER THAT YOU WILL NEVER THIRST.. NO MORE! FOR HE IS THE LIVING WATER.
John 6:35; John 4:13-14
John 4:13–14 CSB
Jesus said, “Everyone who drinks from this water will get thirsty again. But whoever drinks from the water that I will give him will never get thirsty again. In fact, the water I will give him will become a well of water springing up in him for eternal life.”
John 6:35 CSB
“I am the bread of life,” Jesus told them. “No one who comes to me will ever be hungry, and no one who believes in me will ever be thirsty again.
That tree believed! It believed, that if it could get to our water, that the water would have the nourishment, it needs to grow. The roots, which is the foundation of the tree, believed in the water, which exercised its faith, by moving towards the water.
So should be our belief in Christ, that He is our nourishment, that it should bring about us exercising our faith in Him. Our belief is our root, Jesus is the water, our faith is what is produced on the outside.
That tree had such a stronghold on our pipes, that I had to cut off the roots from around our pipes.
BUT OH JESUS! We don’t have to be cut off, but we should have a stronghold on Jesus by having faith in Him… IF WE BELIEVE! See like the grip, that the tree had on our pipes, caused our pipes to break, so should our grip be on Jesus, but HE WILL NOT BREAK, ACTUALLY IT CAUSES HIM TO RISE UP EVEN STRONGER IN OUR LIVES. The tighter our grip (BELIEF) The stronger HE becomes in our lives (FAITH).
A woman suffering from bleeding for twelve years, who had spent all she had on doctors and yet could not be healed by any doctor, she approached Jesus from behind and touched the end of his robe. Instantly her bleeding stopped.
Luke 8:43-48, The woman with the issue of blood, meaning she was hemorrhaging, believed in her heart, that if she would just touch the hymn of His garment, she would be healed. Her belief caused her to move exercising (her faith) to go after the Doctor of doctors, because no human doctor was able to heal her.
BUT OH JESUS! As soon as she touched Him, she was healed instantly! (How many of you, wished that your doctors could do this?) Well… stop! Believe in Him, the Doctor of doctors. He is greater than any human profession. He is the King of kings, Lord of lords, Lawyer of lawyers and Judge of judges.
But there is, however (a pre-requisite) and that is do not doubt, the Bible tells us in the book of James 1:5-6
James 1:5–6 CSB
Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God—who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly—and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
Also Matthew 21:21
Matthew 21:21 CSB
Jesus answered them, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you tell this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done.
How many of us, wants certain mountains if not all, tossed out of our lives? Well DON’T DOUBT!
The one thing about the woman with the issue of blood, is that she was considered unclean, according to the Jewish law, she could not enter into the Temple and anyone who had touched her or come in contact with her, was considered unclean as well. But that didn’t stop her from moving thru the crowd to touch the Healer’s garment.
To which I say, Don’t allow anyone whether that be family, friends, co-workers, even church folks to cause you to doubt in the One that you believe in our what you are believing for! We all have doubters in our lives those Negative Nancy’s, lack of faith Larry’s, we need to distance our selves from them. Especially if we are believing in GOD for something or someone in our lives. Jesus tells Thomas this, in the book of John 20:29
John 20:29 CSB
Jesus said, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.”
See, this is where we get the phrase “doubting Thomas” from. A doubting Thomas is a skeptic who refuses to believe without direct personal experience. Jesus says, that we are Blessed, because we believe. According to John 20:29, Believing before seeing is far better than seeing before believing.
How can one believe? Romans 10: 14-15
Romans 10:14–15 CSB
How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.
Start by believing in our preacher, our Bishop Bill H. McDonnell. He has a vision for us a mantra for the Wealthy Place. Which is 1 Thessalonians 2:13
1 Thessalonians 2:13 CSB
This is why we constantly thank God, because when you received the word of God that you heard from us, you welcomed it not as a human message, but as it truly is, the word of God, which also works effectively in you who believe.
It is simple… Believe!
We must believe in our under Shepherd, because he was sent by GOD! Which GOD gave unto him our vision for our church in 2023. Bishop is trying to move us from our elementary believing into Kingdom believing! But we MUST BELIEVE! We are the prototype for other churches or at least we should be. He started the Nehemiah Kingdom Fellowship, which other churches joined, based on our pastor’s vision. They believed on the outside, why shouldn’t our belief be even stronger, who are close to and receive the teachings directly from our pastor? I believe that I am a much better minister under his teachings now, then I was seven years ago.
Look I am not here to bash anyone, nor to put anyone down, I love each and everyone of you, regardless, how anyone feels about me. But I am here to edify you, to help strengthen our belief! Look at what we have accomplished, just in the seven years, that me and my family been here. We have done so much, just on the elementary belief, could you imagine what we could accomplish on a Kingdom level of believing. We all benefit from believing, but we all suffer from doubting! So let us stop coming to church with our arms crossed, mean mugging the speakers and start rejoicing and believing in the one that was sent. Let us not complain, with the men and women of GOD asking for and offering. Although you don’t say it, its still in your hearts, which manifests into doubt. I use to say, man I need a part-time job just for church (just being honest). After I was maturing in the Word of GOD, I realize, that was negative thinking on my part, so I had to repent.
Either I’m all in or not in at all, PERIOD!
Should I believe on this and not believe on that? Should I believe in a new car, but not believe in my healing? Should I believe in a new house, but not believe in my gift? Not Me!
The Wealthy Place is in the forefront of other churches, we are being closely monitored. We are looked at as an example for other churches, especially the ones that are in our fellowship.
How do you want the Wealthy Place to be inside the eyes of the public, with other churches?
A BELIEVING CHURCH OR A DOUBTING THOMAS?
