Romans 8:17-23

Romans 8:18 NKJV

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Do we have sufferings of this present time?

Romans 8:19 NKJV

19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

How are the sons of God revealed?

We’ve been adopted into sonship through Jesus

What benefits do sons have that others don’t?

Romans 8:20–21 NKJV

20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

What does current day bondage look like?

Are you free from it?

John 8:36 NKJV

36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

Romans 8:22–23 NKJV

22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

Every humans spirit cries out for adoption from God

Much like a child without a Father

We have the first fruits (Jesus was God’s down payment on our Spirits on the earth)

We eventually will be Glorified completely in Death

How do you see the human race crying out for God?
