What is Sin?

Transgression of God’s will, either by doing what he forbids or failing to do what He requires.

What are some examples of sin?

There are many common answers, (lying, stealing, murder) push for deeper more personal (pride, jealousy, etc.)

Where did Sin come from?

Gen 3:1-6

Sin entered the world when man disobeyed God and took and ate from the tree of life.

What was it that Satan used to tempt man into eating the fruit?

The temptation that Satan offered to Adam and Eve was that they would be like God.

Ultimately sin is us trying to be the ruler of our own lives instead of following after God.

Why do you think people don’t take their sin all that seriously?
