False Accusers
False Accusers
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
DIABOLIC = False accusers one of another, devils one to another, having no regard to the good name of others.
How can a Christian praise God and curse another’s name?
The gates of hell shall not prevail
Get thee behind me satan
As Christians we should care greatly about what we say about others
As christians we have great obligation to love one another.
False accusers take liberty to say anything they please against others.
Hurting others with our words should not be named among us
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
People will lie about christians
People will seek to destroy others with their words and actions
Exceeding glad = great is your reward
vs 11 is a parallel to II Tim
Demonically empowered to defame; traducer
destroyer of the godly’s testimony
Satan - the accuser of the brethren
The antiChrist spirit is working even now
Speaking evil of brothers is of the enemy
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
Don’t speak against the brethren
Just enough to make someone doubt another
Just enough to make another have a question mark
We are all unique
God has created us diverse from each other
We have different upbringings
We all have differing preferences
personality
preference
confrontational
passive
some of us gravitate to one biblical theme
Some gravitate to others
Psalm 12:1–4 (KJV 1900)
1 Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; For the faithful fail from among the children of men.
2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour:
Destructive, ruin, guile, devious words
With flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
Flattering lips = smooth words
Causing others to slide into a bad attitude
A slide downwards
3 The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, And the tongue that speaketh proud things:
4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; Our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
Pride = I can speak anything I want to whomever I want, I am the lord of my words...
Humility = put a watch over my mouth Lord
There are so many things we can say that edify and build up others
How do we get to the place of speaking down of another Christian
Be careful
Be careful listening to underhanded words
Dishonorable words that destroy the reputations of others
Words with the intent to blemish or soil a name
The opening words of the next psalm appeal for help in bad and evil days.
See Mic 7:2
2 The good man is perished out of the earth: And there is none upright among men: They all lie in wait for blood; They hunt every man his brother with a net.
Are we guilty of diabolic words
A double heart is literally “a heart and a heart,” Psa 12:2.
Let us be true in act and speech, else we forfeit the Spirit of truth, Eph 4:25; Col 3:9.
Our sighing will make God arise, Act 7:56.
Lest we faint in the perilous times, The promise from God’s word to those who walk obediently is We shall be helped and kept, Psa 12:7 and Isa 54:17
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; And every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
It’s what comes out of the mouth that defiles
By the words of your mouth your heart is expressed.
Matthew 15:19 (KJV 1900)
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts,
murders,
adulteries,
fornications,
thefts,
false witness,
blasphemies:
“I said it but I really didn’t mean it”
The heart purposed to say and it was said.
Protect your heart
Be cautious
The last days will be characterized by False Accusers
to throw (in various applications, more or less violent or intense): - arise, cast (out), X dung, lay, lie, pour, put (up), send, strike, throw (down), thrust.
διαβάλλω
diaballō
dee-ab-al'-lo
From G1223 and G906; (figuratively) to traduce: - accuse.
In the last days false testimonies
When we speak words about people we have never met or talked to
When we speak words about someone about a subject we haven’t confirmed
It must be true because we heard it on the news...
It must be true because we saw it online...
Social media
Youtube
Even if someone has a problem or an issue or a sin doesn’t give us a right to spread it
Why do people want to destroy others with their words?
It’s a diabolic spirit
It’s an antichrist Spirit
Joh 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
Joh 8:8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
Joh 8:9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
What an amazing opportunity to be alone with Jesus.
We pray for them
The Most Destructive Way To Lay Waste Christ’s Church And Our Home
10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
The words we use have a direct affect on our love for life and our joy each day.
James 3:1–13 (KJV 1900)
1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
3 Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
Praising God in song then defaming others with their words.
12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
Be careful to not start fires with your tongue - you cannot put out
Hell is behind all false accusations = Diabolical
1. God warns the tongue cannot be tamed.
8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
2. We are held accountable for every word we speak.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
3. The tongue always reveals our heart.
Matthew 12:34 (KJV 1900)
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
Our tongue is connected to the heart
4. In order to stop the destructive path of the tongue, the heart must be purified.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Double heartedness or doublemindedness is connected to heart impurity
Stop listening to evil
Stop talking evil
Stop giving place to diabolical words
The people we say we love many times are the victims of evil, harsh words - that’s a heart problem
5. Asking forgiveness for the offenses of the tongue is an act of humility that allows God’s grace to purify our hearts.
6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
If we are not trusting the Lord as sovereign
If we are not continuing in prayer
Php 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Php 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
We will lash out in frustration and anger using our words as a weapon to destroy, control, and manipulate others rather than a tool to heal, strengthen, and to build people.
Its a heart problem - frustrated, bitter
Ask the Lord to create a good heart in you that it may be revealed in gracious, pleasant, helpful words
Purify your heart
Do real heart work with the Lord
immediately deal with evil
forgive and it shall be forgiven
Sow and you shall reap
