Submit, what does that mean? to yield to the control of another.

What are we submitting from? Pride ,selfishness

Who are we submitting to? God

Why submit to God?

Resist, what does it mean? to oppose

If James is telling us to oppose the devil, what is he trying to do to us? devour us, prowling lion

Why would he flee? wasting his time

What does it mean to come near to God? draw close

How do we do that?

Why would He come near to us? that what happens in a relationship

What does purify you hearts mean? repent, A change of attitude and action from sin toward obedience to God

What is double-minded? characterized by a duality of selves (as in one’s desires or thinking) that are in opposition to one another; especially that results in a lack of decisiveness.

Humble, what does it mean? to be brought low
